Re: Anthony Persiano update
Looks like something might be hanging out there with this guy but this also might just be procedural in order to make absolutely sure they have no more use for him.

Re: Anthony Persiano update
I don't want to hype people up here because people have been waiting for that PHL LCN racketeering case for years to come down.
(I hate when almost anyone goes to jail save sex offenders and a few other egregious folk.)
But the reason the delay sentencing for cooperators in federal indictments is so the defense counsel doesn't get two bites at the apple.
Meaning that if they don't delay it and a supreseding indictment drops the defense can invoke his client's cooperation to get both 5k1.1 letter and then after the new indictment a 35(b) motion for said client.
So basically the math would look like this.
120 months for racketeering
-standard 5k1.1 equals 60 months (usually 50% discount)
and then
-35(b) another 25 to 50 percent.
So if you get two proverbial bites you're at zero.
Prosecutors don't love this so they want all thw defendant's behavior addressed at one hearing where rh judge may give them 50 or 60 or 70 off but not walk them. It limits trips to the candy store for rats.
So yeah.
Usually if someone ratted someone into an indictment and they are delaying sentencing. You can look for a supreseding to drop before then.

I'm skeptical this means anything other than the Jersey Feds don't know whether the Philly Feds can ever put anything together, so they gave them a little more time.

Six months to a fed is nothing. They are working on five seven ten and eternal year statutes.
They either got it or they don't. At the pace they move six months is a few grand jury sessions and some typing.

I don't know if he was.
But Grande is all over that indictment but a unindicted co conspirator.
The delay in sentencing when you are that close to the jackpot is worrisome.

Schratwieser was asked in the comments of his post about whether a bigger case was therefore developing as indicated by the delay in Persiano's sentencing and he replied, 'Could be. Certainly strong hints of that.'

Persiano and Piccolo were in Grande's crew. The indictment also made reference to Servidio's capo (likely still Joe Licata), and a third individual 'believed to be a capo' who wanted to make sure that the correct amount was being kicked up by Persiano and Servidio as they were from different crews. Don't know who that third individual could be. Perhaps Lancellotti, Angelina, Ciancaglini

So for all them....
. In any indictment. Essentially conspiracies.
If you are in someone's paperwork who ratted.
And you know they told on you.
And they haven't been sentenced yet ie it keeps getting pushed back. Then you gotta sleep with a sweatsuit on and your phone on vibrate.

Schratwieser seems to always say there’s a bigger case comingchin_gigante wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 8:33 am Schratwieser was asked in the comments of his post about whether a bigger case was therefore developing as indicated by the delay in Persiano's sentencing and he replied, 'Could be. Re: Anthony Persiano update
This was a jersey federal indictment. A Philly lcn racketeering case would get filed by the feds in Philadelphia. Different offices and different US Attorneys, especially now under Trump. I don't think this group will indict the whole LCN group without murders to throw in the indictment after the last group wasted millions on that last case without even convicting George or his uncle, who were the targets. Then look at the shit show indictment they filed against Phil Narducci. They got one year out of him. And that was to save face. Doesn't exactly reflect well on the Fed office in Philly. I think this has more to do with Jersey Feds giving them more time to see if they can put something together. If they don't, which I think is more likely, they will sentence him in May. If they do put something together his sentencing will get postponed indefinitely. It says more to me that they kept the sentencing on the calendar...

Re: Anthony Persiano update
Doesn't need to be a huge case.
For the guys in the paperwork it doesn't matter. Philly or Jerz doj the fed time will hit the same.
I also doubt it'd be the big one.
But those who are on the cusp just want this to be over.
