He swore to protect and serve, yes. But undoubtedly it doesn’t make him worse than a murderer who murders for a living just because he masquerades as a knight in shining armour. They’re both as bad as each other. You can’t vilify and crucify one and romanticise the other; it makes no sense. A gangster is a gangster by actions, he was a gangster not a police officer.
