Also charged yesterday were reputed mob captains Salvatore "Shotsie" Sparacio, 75, of Gloucester Township, and Vincent "Al Pajamas" Pagano, 63, now in prison.
Those indicted and named as soldiers are: Luigi "Gino" Tripodi, 55, of the 1700 block of Castle Avenue; Raymond Esposito, 51, of Gibbstown, N.J.; Sergio Battaglia, 27, of Cinnaminson; Giuseppe "Joe Stanfa" Gallara, 27, of the 2100 block of South Mole Street; Gaeton Lucibello, 41, a fugitive last known to live in the 2800 block of South Sydenham Street, and Vincent Filipelli, 42, of Voorhees.
The indictment said the following men are associates in Stanfa's organization: Herbert Keller, 25, a fugitive last known to live in the 9300 block of Neil Road; Rosario Conti Bellocchi, 25, of the 2900 block of South 16th Street; Gary Tavella, 35, of the 1700 block of South 11th Street; Salvatore Brunetti, 46, of Barrington, N.J.; Ron Mazzone, 50, of Bellmawr, N.J.; Jack Manfredi, 35, of the 3100 block of South Broad Street; Joseph "Joey A" Altimari, 54, of Bensalem, who was not in custody by late yesterday; John "Johnny Gons" Casasanto, 25, of the 400 block of Vollmer Street; Thomas Morrone, 24, of Blackwood, N.J.; and Thomas Lawrence Rebbie, 75 or 77, a fugitive whose last known address was in the 900 block of East Price Street.

Bellocchi admitted fatally shooting waiter Francesco DiGiacomo on Nov. 29, 1992, at Front and Vine streets at the direction of Stanfa and former mob underboss Joseph Ciancaglini Jr., who barely survived an assassination attempt on March 2, 1993.
Afterward, Lucibello "received, relieved, comforted and assisted" Bellocchi after DiGiacomo's murder to prevent his arrest, according to the indictment.
Bellocchi killed DiGiacomo to gain entrance into the Stanfa crime family as a "made" member, the indictment said.

In the last decade, more than a dozen prominent mob members have flipped. Leonetti and Gravano head the list. From the Lucchese family there are former acting boss Alphonse "Little Al" D'Arco, underboss Anthony "Gas Pipe" Casso, and capos Anthony "Tumac" Accetturo and Peter Chiodo. From the Colombo family there are Franzese, former consigliere Carmine Sessa and the late Gregory Scarpa. From Philadelphia, in addition to Leonetti and Caramandi, there are Thomas "Tommy Del" DelGiorno, Lawrence "Yogi" Merlino, Eugene "Gino" Milano, George Fresolone - who worked undercover and taped his mob initiation ceremony for the New Jersey State Police - and, most recently, John Veasey and Rosario Bellocchi.
Bellocchi testifies that he was never actually inducted into the family

Bellocchi met Stanfa in September 1992 and got a job making pizzas at the Warfield Breakfast and Lunch Express, next to the Continental Imported Foods, a business owned by Stanfa's children though the building was owned by Stanfa, Bellocchi testified.
Although he identified Adornetto, Luigi "Gino" Tripodi, Joseph Merlino, Michael Ciancaglini and Gaeton Lucibello as "made" members of the crime family, he said he was "never" inducted formally himself into the family.
[…]
Bellocchi said he and others tried to shake down Dale Lalwani, the manager of the Aztec Club on the Delaware waterfront, but Lalwani refused.
Stanfa became angry, saying, "If this starts going this way, they'll never start paying. People have to see from the beginning the way we are," Bellocchi said. Stanfa told him: "I want to kill this guy."
Later, they learned that Lalwani reported the incident to the FBI.
Bellocchi and others tried to find and kill Lalwani near Stanfa's Medford home, but they couldn't find their target, Bellocchi said.
Later, Bellocchi said that Adornetto said he alone was to kill Lalwani and excluded Bellocchi.
It may also be important to take into account that we know Stanfa held initiation ceremonies in November 1991, September 1992, May 1993, circa. September 1993 and early Winter 1993. Bellocchi was still an associate at the time of the DiGiacomo murder in November 1992 and was behind bars from March to December 1993, missing out on the rest of the ceremonies we know about, unless he was inducted very early in 1993. I started doubting Bellocchi’s membership after failing to find references to him as a soldier in the indictment or in news reports at the time but his 1995 testimony has me more convinced that he wasn’t.

I consider Bellocchi more of an actual Zip than the others cause he came to South Philly for vacation originally staying with his Aunt and Uncle on a Visa. He was already a convicted felon back in Sicily he became friends with Adornetto and eventually became roommates Adornetto even got him a pizza maker job
Adornetto was already involved with the Stanfa Organization I believe he got made with both Ciancaglini and Merlino around 89 or 90 Bellocchi got involved through his friendship with Adornetto and then he was formally introduced to Stanfa

I think Bellocchi stood in Philly for like a year or maybe two on an expired visa visitors pass but he did have a background back in Sicily
