No I think this is actually connected to the NY busts or at least they were all being investigated at the same time.

Yes, it is an ongoing investigation. Which is why I posted this latest bust in the Rockland gambling bust thread below. It began back in August of last year with Genovese captain Danny Pagano and associate Michael Palazzolo being indicted. The following month associate Anthony "Harpo" DePalma was charged. In December, Patsy Capolongo and 13 others were charged along with 7 more people later that month. And now we have these 8 people, one of them Capolongo again, being charged down in Florida.

Translation: There's a snitch, and they're putting out a press release about "more arrests in coming weeks" to get people talking in hopes of picking something up on a bug.
