The general consensus on Philly seems to be its mainly a handful of made guys running a few different books, maybe a couple other things here and there. I didn’t think that was even up for debate?

I know Philly isnt a huge family but im sure that there is More than just a "handful of guys running a few different books" i dont know exactly what there into but judging by the Servidio indictment we know there are guys involved in the drug game and im sure there putting money on the street that goes hand in hand w gambling ...again i dont know exactly what there into but its definetely more tham just a handful of guys . They might not be earning and making money like the bigger families but they are definetely still making moves and i dont know if i buy into how people say Borgesi is totally legit now or Narducci and Pung i mean these guys have all done big bids and came home and seem to all be doing pretty well except for Narducci whose only problem was loaning that rat money but again isnt that what guys do loan money out and collect interest i always thought unless they got shelved then they took a oath and i dont see how one day you can say "hey guys thanks for helping me generate all this cash but now im done , im satisfied i just wanna go legit"i didnt think it worked like that i thought it was your job that no matter what you were earning to had to kick money upstairs ...obviously i could be wrong but its just my opinion just cause we havent heard anything about certain guys doesnt mean there not making moves its just there staying under the radar , thats what your supposed to try to do just my two cents

It's just Dave and George's opinion in one of the recent Mob Talks based on what they've been hearing. I think it was the one in which they talk about Lance's promotion and how things are slowing down, and there might not be a lot left to be a boss of in South Philly.

That was more like a few years apart. Guys can be active until they are not. I have no idea what his status is now but I don't think GA just made it up the few times he mentioned it. There has to be something to it for him to have said so many times.

While Philly is still active in some rackets, they have lost the bulk of their income through Labor Racketeering and Union Infiltration in AC and the surrounding areas. The family's tentacles has lost much of their reach and power outside of South Philly, NY took over their operations in NJ and they are one informant away from being devastated. Somebody is going to flip, it's a matter of time and it will be somebody giving info on murder(s).
