Unrelated to the above, but in recent discussion with JD/LCNBios I've learned that Sal Vitale provided intel that Dino Calabro of the Colombo family and Salvatore Montagna of the Bonanno family are possible relatives. Both are of Castellammarese heritage. Calabro apparently didn't mention a relation but said their fathers associated due to being Castellammarese.

- From this, it sounds like John Riggi was already captain of a separate crew when he took over Sferra's union position, which had previously belonged to Riggi before Sferra had it. This clears up the confusion about whether it was Riggi or Farina who replaced Sferra as captain, with there being a meeting where Farina was explicitly promoted to captain of Sferra's old crew.

- The meeting with Mike Mandaglio and DeCavalcante and/or this general association could explain why the FBI mistakenly believed Mandaglio was a possible DeCavalcante member for a time.
