Vincent Papa Death

In the reports following his killing in prison, and in the book Papa's Game by Gregory Wallace, Vincent Papa was reported to have been killed by Black inmates hired by Herbie Sperling. In the past few years I notice The Aryan Nation has been mentioned as having been hired by Herbie Sperling to kill Papa. I believe the original story based on prison reports and interviews and investigations. Toss in that the Aryans were not big in Atlanta prison, and Sperling was Jewish with ties to Black gangs from his days in New York. I have trouble seeing Sperling using them, or them working for him. I never noticed the change in stories on who did it till the past year, when and how did the Aryan Nation (Or Aryan Brotherhood) story start being passed around?

You have a problem because he used Aryan Nations because he has ties to black gangs? Aryan gangs work with black gangs in prison all the time when selling drugs so why does that surprise you? Just because an individual uses a certain ethnic group doesnt mean they cant use another but yes he is a jew but its more about protection and money than about race

No, I am talking about how in all the early reports it was Black inmates who killed him, and they were asked to do it by Sperling. It was in some news reports, and in the book by Gregory Wallace called Papa's Game. Wallace went through everything and also said it was several Black inmates who jumped Papa, and they fought for a while before they killed him. Now I see people saying it was Aryans who killed him. Does anyone know when one how the story changed? I think the Aryan angle had to be something that was put up by an internet poster that caught on, or by a reporter who did not research it.

True I guess, but the thing I am trying to figure out is how did it go from a bunch of guys who were described as Black for many years to a bunch of White inmates? I think it is an internet thing that was started and caught on.

My understanding was that they started as the Bluebirds in San Quentin in the 60's as protection against a black gang in there.
