He is in the process of writing Crimetown USA part 2. He's been doing a lot of speaking engagements. For anybody interested in his book, here is the link:FriendofFamily wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 10:24 am Neat little clip about Allen May on the Speaking circuit.

His article on the Boston Mob War was the best researched thing ever written about it.... am not aware of any other contenders on the subject...his book will probably be good.

The first part of CRIMETOWN was a big success regionally. Obviously he would like to tap into the national sales but there is not a high demand for the smaller mob cities.Stroccos wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 11:28 amFOH didn't you give him some photos or something as well ?FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 7:14 pmRemember how Allan learned of CHarlie Murgie's involvement in the Jungle Inn?JCB1977 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 8:30 pm https://www.wkbn.com/news/local-news/au ... 1843318373

the other thing is more of a historical coverage he didn't have a anyone giving there life story which is usually more interesting to the masses

It’s also too bad RC wouldn’t come out...I know Allan reached out to him and the $$ he wanted was a joke. Nobody would pay that for a story on Cleveland...Angelo Lonardo would have been a big story had he done 60 minutes

Yes, I met Allan for lunch and I shared a bunch of pictures taken at camp with him.Stroccos wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 11:28 amFOH didn't you give him some photos or something as well ?FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 7:14 pmRemember how Allan learned of CHarlie Murgie's involvement in the Jungle Inn?JCB1977 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 8:30 pm https://www.wkbn.com/news/local-news/au ... 1843318373

He's hoping to write a book about Pittsburgh and I told him we could discuss publishing some of my photos.
I believe the fact that his current book hasn't sold very well has delayed him publishing a book about Pittsburgh

Re: Allan May Hosts Lecture Series on Youngstown’s Infamous Jungle Inn
RC as is the Crab? Yeah that's a shame. RC is about 90, if I were him I would just do it to get my story out and soldify my life's legacy. From what I understand he or his family aren't exactly in serious need of money.
My problem is I hate everybody.
Re: Allan May Hosts Lecture Series on Youngstown’s Infamous Jungle Inn
His brother Orlie and his brother in law Steve “Moose” Almasy to care of his gambling while he was away...plus his son made tens of millions off real estate and with Sky King Fireworks. RC still comes to Youngstown in Summers and over Thanksgiving & Christmas. He won’t talk unfortunately.

Pittsburgh is nowhere in sight for him. I don’t see that ever happening with him.FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 6:12 amYes, I met Allan for lunch and I shared a bunch of pictures taken at camp with him.Stroccos wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 11:28 amFOH didn't you give him some photos or something as well ?FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 7:14 pmRemember how Allan learned of CHarlie Murgie's involvement in the Jungle Inn?JCB1977 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 8:30 pm https://www.wkbn.com/news/local-news/au ... 1843318373

Just spoke with him yesterday. He’s got 4 projects before he even considers Pittsburgh. Christie, Antillar and myself are working on something. Stay tuned...FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 2:26 pmAre you speaking for Allan or just your gut?
