Re: Unsolved Westside hits
Coppola was skimming profits and i’d suspect that his own crew whacked him. Genovese soldier Pasquale Deluca pled guilty to conspiracy to murder Coppola in 2007. I believe nobody else has been convicted on whacking Coppola.

Re: Unsolved Westside hits
Nick Cirillo was not a Genovese associate. He was very reckless and was arrested a lot of times for petty shit. His own father hated his guts. Later on Randolph Pinzollo was clipped because he was bragging about his involvement in the murder.

Coppola was supposedly skimming money from the Javits Civic Center operation and making waves and complaining about not being promoted to Acting Boss (looking at the timeline it would have been to replace Cirillo).

I don’t believe Pizzolo whacked Cirillo. Pizzolo was a Bonnano associate and Nick Cirillo’s murder was sanctioned by the westside.

Re: Unsolved Westside hits
He was under Dom Cicale - the guy alongside Vinny Gorgeous who was disrespected by Nic Cirillo. Pizzolo was known for having a big mouth, bragging how much of a tough guy and proficient killer he is. Just because according to Massino Quiet Dom gave the okay doesn't mean that Genovese guys were involved. On the contrary the might have used outside people just for good measure. LE believes Pizzolo got clipped for having a big mouth and for stealing from the family construction rackets.

quiet dom was implicated in that discussion secretly recorded by massino himself and basciano of him saying, “that came from quiet dom”. unsure whether bonanno’s or the westside did the work

“The footage also shows Massino gesturing with his hand like a gun while asking Basciano: 'Do we have anything to do with that [Nicholas Cirillo's murder]?'JesusMalverde wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 6:32 am quiet dom was implicated in that discussion secretly recorded by massino himself and basciano of him saying, “that came from quiet dom”. unsure whether bonanno’s or the westside did the work
Basciano replies: 'Absolutely not. C'mon.'”
I’d say that this quote proves the Bonannos had nothin to do with cirillo’s murder.

Re: Unsolved Westside hits
Of course Basciano had nothing to do with it. He didn't sanction the hit.

Good thread slim.
If anyone’s interested of compiling a list of unsolved murders per family for the past fifteen years or this century, would be cool.
See what the feds are sniffing at with each family.

Re: Unsolved Westside hits
I’ve always imagined the westside called nick in for a sitdown to tell him he’s getting a pass, just to whack him. I doubt he would trust any Bonannos after the altercation with cicale, so he prob trusted his killers.
