Was reading about Elvis Irizarry in another thread and some web results brought up Massimo Ranieri. I've never heard of him and it appears he's never been mentioned on these boards but apparently is or was a high ranking member of the Sicilian Gambino faction:

Durso “ran the show” for Massimo Ranieri in Jersey City, and Durso and Irizarry both answered to Ranieri. App. at 3168. Ranieri was next in line to take control of a group that was the Sicilian wing of the notorious Gambino crime family. Ranieri was based in Brooklyn, New York, but also spent time in Florida. Ranieri's criminal activities included debt collection, extortion and murder.

The story Irizarry told about Ranieri admitting to killing kevin smith could be bs. Irizzary is a psycho and could just be making up shit for attention.
