Colombo family soldier-turned-used-car-salesman gets year in prison for violating parole
An ailing Brooklyn Colombo family soldier-turned-used-car-salesman was sentenced Tuesday to a year and a day in prison for violating parole by communicating with other former mobsters. Larry Sessa was a member of Greg Scarpa's crew in the early 1990s alongside Carmine Sessa. When Larry was shot in 1991 by Orena rebels, he was labelled a cousin of Carmine Sessa by the NY Times, but Larry Mazza - another Scarpa crew member - has said he didn't know of any relation between the two, which is probably more reliable than the Times considering how close Mazza was to both Carmine and Larry.
