Don't know about the audio itself, but you can find transcripts of wiretaps over at the FBI vault or on Mary Ferrell database

Most of the actual Wiretaps are very poor quality recordings (background noise) and a lot of them need to be transcribed. Different ones needs to be translated because they are speaking Italian or Sicilian with nuances and code names.

The only place I have heard taps are in documentaries. I would like
to know where the film producers get the wiretap conversations. That and the
old WMOB radio site had Fritzy and Frankie Condo talking on the phone. Those
were great tapes, but they have been taken down from the web IIRC.

you get some wiretaps on a CD if you buy Joe Pistones book Wiseguy if i remember correctly. But then again, this could be found on internet as well.

It was great. I will Search on Tim White's WPRI page for it.

I emailed Tim White at WPRI. He has the taped making ceremony, but
will only forward it to me if he writes a column in the future where the taped/transcript
is used in his article. Oh well...

What are you talking about? Most guys can't speak anymore Italian besides a few slang words.
