Notes
- Salvatore Badalamenti, Thomas DiBella and Ambrose Magliocco were former captains who had been demoted shortly after Colombo's appointment to Boss. Colombo made Vincent Aloi captain of a new crew and also maintained his own decina, comprised of his former crew members as well as several individuals involved in the Gallo conflict. Some of those direct with Colombo would eventually be shifted to other crews or promoted to head their own.
- Scarpa made several misidentifications that were cleared up in the following years. These included:
1. Charles Clemenza - Later confirmed reference to Fred Clemenza.
2. Joseph Giammarino - Later confirmed reference to Joseph Brancato.

That's a good one, I may use it in the future. But I'm trying to redo the 1963 chart if possible.

Is there something important or specific to 1963?
I doubt little changed between 63-65?

1963 is the year of the Valachi charts.

Between 63 and 65 was a change in boss, under, consig and 3 capos.
79 is a comprehensive chart of members and which crews they belonged to.

Carry on then good sir

Re: Colombo Family 1963 and 1979 questions.
One thing to note is that they had no official administration at that time. Magliocco didn't have Commission approval confirming him as boss (and didn't have the full support of his own family, either), so there was no official underboss either unless you count Magliocco as a carryover from the Profaci days. They hadn't named an official consigliere either following the death of Antonio Buffa and at one point Calogero LoCicero was acting consigliere.
Re: Colombo Family 1963 and 1979 questions.
Could be of some help with the Magliocco regime, so here is what the family looked like in 1962 leading up to Joe Profaci's death according to Greg Scarpa:
Boss - Joseph Profaci
Underboss - Joseph Magliocco
Consigliere - (Vacant)
Acting Consigliere - Calogero LoCicero
Captains:
Simone Andolino
Salvatore Badalamenti
Harry Fontana
Ambrose Magliocco
Salvatore Musacchio
John Oddo
Gregory Scarpa Sr.
+ 1 redacted phonetic name, which I would guess would be the Jersey crew, I assume run by Salvatore Lombardino Sr. at that time
He specifically says the family had 8 captains at that time.
Following Joe Profaci's death, Greg Scarpa was demoted and assigned to Magliocco, Benedetto D'Alessandro was ID'd as an acting capodecina of an unspecified crew (if any), Joe Colombo ID'd as capodecina, Salvatore Badalamenti ID'd as still capodecina and also acting consigliere (LoCicero was in Italy), Harry Fontana still capodecina, John Franzese under Musacchio decina, Calogero LoCicero still acting consigliere (in Italy, hence Badalamenti acting temporarily), Salvatore Musacchio still capodecina, John Misuraca capodecina (of Jersey crew), John Oddo still capodecina.
It's a confusing period because as mentioned, Magliocco was a defacto boss without full support, official admin spots were vacant, and the Gallos still had a number of made members on their side, all of them described by Scarpa as "former" members of the Profaci family.
edit: Joe Colombo and John Franzese said to be promoted to captain in July 1962, Tom DiBella promoted to captain in August 1962. The family was also to be reorganized so that each decina had six members in it.
edit 2: Captains ID'd circa 9/1962:
Simone Andolino
(Redacted) (New Jersey)
Joe Colombo
Tommy DiBella
Sonny Franzese
Johnny Oddo
Harry Fontana
Sam Badalamente
Ambrose Magliocco
Musacchio ID'd 9/1962 as having no position at the time. John Misuraca promoted to underboss by November 1962, with LoCicero having no position. Consigliere vacant.

Re: Colombo Family 1963 and 1979 questions.
1963, via Scarpa:
Defacto/Acting Boss - Joseph Magliocco (deposed* 9/1963)
Underboss - John Misuraca (became acting boss 9/1963)
Consigliere - (Vacant)
Capodecina:
Simone Andolino
Salvatore Badalamente
Joseph Colombo
Thomas DiBella
Harry Fontana
John Franzese
Ambrose Magliocco
Salvatore Musacchio / Vincent Aloi (Acting)
John Oddo
(Redacted -- possibly Nicolino Sorrentino / Benedetto D'Alessandro (Acting))
(Jersey Captain Unknown -- possibly direct w/ Misuraca)
* - Magliocco held a meeting with the captains where he claimed he was resigning due to Calogero LoCicero stirring up problems in the family, but in reality Magliocco was covering up that he had been deposed by the Commission. Magaddino's transcripts clarify that Magliocco was deposed by the Commission because he had never been confirmed official boss and had conspired with Joe Bonanno. In 10/1963 LoCicero claimed to Scarpa that he (LoCicero) had been elected new boss of the family but refused the position, though Scarpa felt this was a lie. It's not clear to what degree Misuraca ran the family after Magliocco stepped down, but by 12/1963, Scarpa stated that Joe Colombo was basically running the family and we know he would become boss in early 1964.
The above hierarchy seems to have been fairly stable through 1963 and into the first quarter of 1964, with James Rubertone stepping up as acting captain for Ambrose Magliocco for a period in early 1964. By the first week of April Joe Colombo is boss with Salvatore Mineo as underboss. By the following month Nick Forlano and Vinnie Aloi had been promoted to captain and Misuraca would resume running the Jersey crew.

This is all very interesting and I'm going to try and find a way to incorporate it. Other Valachi charts (Gambinos) list captains in categories of past and present as well as (Genovese) listing capo predecessors.
For 1963, as per JD, I have 11 captains:
