In the years after Joey Gallo's death part of the crew (Albert Gallo and Illiano) was made in the genoveses and Amuso was made by luccheses ehile the others remained with the colombos or wasn't made.For my curiosity for what reasons the genovese and not another family accepted to made albert gallo and illiano ? Amuso was friend of Casso so I understand because was made in the lucchese but for the others ? The Genoveses was then the most powerful so they don't need those tipe of men for fill the ranks.

Chin and the Gallo crew were friendly from way back. Joey and the crew had a bond with Chins crew from the fifties on. About like the Chin and Sonny Reds faction. Chin always had to counter the other major family the Gambinos. Gambinos backed Colombo crew, chin backed the Gallos. Gambinos backed Massino's faction, chin backed Sonny reds. Gambinos backed Bruno, chin put on the facade he was backing bananas, got Bruno whacked and then backed the tests/Scarfo guys.

That being said Albert and punchy went Genovese along with Geritano. Boriellos went Gambino. Money and his guys stayed Colombo and were hung out to dry.

Read the sixth family by Pete the Greek. He goes into it. Talks about the gallos relationship with chin. Also the luparelli tapes. You will see how closely connected those guys were at one time, Sonny pinto, Sonny red, joe yac, Marty horse, Johnny footo etc etc.
