You could be right being that he was from Mulbarry st. I can't find the last name Dellacroce anywhere in south Italy. His nephew was Angie, Gotti's friend, and he was supposedly calabrian. So I don't really know..scagghiuni wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2017 5:36 am probably neapolitan, aniello is a typical neapolitan name
Re: Aniello Dellacroce roots.
I just found his father's naturalization papers on Ancestry.com and it says his father was born in Caserta, so he's Neapolitan.

I'm very Interasted in you guys opinio on this one. Was there a chance of Neil becoming boss even thou he was neapolitan? Of couse I mean after Carlo's death.

Re: Aniello Dellacroce roots.
I think he definitely could. Wasn't Gotti of Neapolitan origins too? In Chicago also, all the original leadership was from the Campania region too, except Colosimo (Calabrian) and Torrio (from Basilicata). And Vito Genovese in New York was Campanian while Frank Costello was Calabrian. It isn't a necessary requirement to be Sicilian by default in the American Cosa Nostra at least, as far as I know....AlexfromSouth wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2017 5:39 am I'm very Interasted in you guys opinio on this one. Why not? Anastasia was boss before Gambino and he was Calabrian.AlexfromSouth wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2017 5:39 am I'm very Interasted in you guys opinio on this one. Was there a chance of Neil becoming boss even thou he was neapolitan? Of couse I mean after Carlo's death.

Yes Billy but Albert killed Mangano and became boss, the big thing about it was Frank Costello a calabrian. You think Carlo would pick Neil over Paul?

Don't laugh at me because y'all know I have no Italian/Sicilian roots, but how do you pronounce Dellacroce's first name?
A-Neil-o? A-Neil-io?
A-Neil-o? A-Neil-io?
If I didn't have my case coming up, I would like to come back with you gentlemen when this is over with and really lay the law down what is going on in this country.....
