Pretty cool article. Says the boat sat in international waters and they'd ferry gamblers out. This one that sunk was near San Diego so I wonder if it was their under their LCN family's control or LA? Was this a thing anywhere else with a sea port like Nola, Tampa, or any of the East Coast families?

"Really? His house looked like shit."

Jimmy Velasco, Tampa political fixer, operated/invested in one of the gambling ships for a little while before returning to Tampa in 1948. He probably should have stayed out there. He was gunned down in Ybor City on 12/12/48.

Unsolved but likely JOe Provenzano, who was arrested and tried for the murder- acquitted.
