In what SB is reporting as a direct conversation he had with imprisoned Genovese family figure Bobby Manna (aged 95), SB quotes him as follows re: his alleged death: "Not true, not this time, not last time…whenever my time is up, I’m still hoping to die at home with my family...it’s not that easy to get rid of me. Don’t believe the rumor mill. Believe me. Believe my lawyers.”
This conversation follows some recent online rumors that Manna had passed; he has not. In fact, he remains in prison, where he has been since around 1989, serving a life sentence for racketeering & homicide. SB reports that Manna's lawyers remain aggressive in pursuing compassionate release for Manna, who has multiple health issues and per the reporting is currently at a Federal prison hospital facility in Rochester, MN \[the BOP website also continues to list Manna's release date as 11/7/2054\].
From a historical perspective, Manna allegedly served as consigliere of the Genovese organization for a large portion of the 1980s, basing his personal operations out of Hoboken, NJ, but with constant contact with NY-based boss Vincent 'The Chin' Gigante.

That's a rough way to go out spending half your lifespan in prison. But the feds don't play around.
