For it to be such a miserable life outside of which there are so many other opportunities, there sure seems to be a lot of people involved. And, as someone else mentioned, the vast majority of those arrested are under 50 years old.

Romano's interceptions were from another anti-mafia operation but for some reason they incorporated them into this one... if we want to be honest then the Ndrangheta in Reggio Calabria has allied itself with the gypsies to consolidate their ranks, which is even worse

There are actual gypsy Ndrangheta clans and other Mafia clans made up of gypsies in Italy, this is nothing new.

If they incorporated Romano's wiretaps into this story just to try to prove a point, then it just means that they're reaching, or rather grasping at straws to do so.

it almost seems like they don't want to admit or are too amazed that Cosa Nostra is still powerful despite over 30 years of hard government struggleLaughmatics wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 9:15 am If they incorporated Romano's wiretaps into this story just to try to prove a point, then it just means that they're reaching, or rather grasping at straws to do so.

All mafiosi have complained about the difficulty of finding good recruits for as long as the mafia has been documented. I'd bet the very first generation of made members were already complaining about this 200+ years ago.
