Mafia in Maine?

Mafia in Maine?
This is just a general inquiry, but I've seen several people online claim that a new family exists in Maine and that it has separated from the Patriarca family. Now i cannot find much sources on it and question the validity of the claim. But i'd like to hear some thoughts and input on the matter if possible, as it is a rather interesting claim to make.

It is fake information.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

It's just one guy who is making that claim and he's on here. He has no idea what he's talking about. Originally it was a new Maine family and he knew because he was told by these people who he hung out with in their bars. Now I think he's backed off and said it's actually a Patriarca crew.
Either way, it's nothing to take seriously.

I figured as much, just thought it was a bizarre thing to claim. As it's not the type of place I imagine an independent mafia family to thrive in.

A few old East Boston guys spent time and bought property near Old Orchard Beach and Billy Angelesca was up there for awhile years ago trying to rob soft local drug dealers but whoever is saying there's a crew there is full of shit and there isn't. Local police and state police would crush any activity in any form - as they did with Angelesca - in a NY minute.
