There are weird things that pop up from time to time. The claim that Clinton almost pardoned Rosario Gambino was always odd. Trump's dealings with the mob are pretty clear. But it's Manhattan construction and Atlantic City in the 80s. In all honesty the stories that come out just seem like them taking advantage of him. I've seen nothing linking Carter to the mob. I know nothing of Trumps actual connections in the 70 and 80's, but I would venture to say that being in the business he was in, in the place he was in, in that time period, and being a gentlemen who doesn't really have issues blurring the lines between legal and illegal, that there is virtually zero chance he did not have business dealing and relationships with the five families and the concrete club.

Well, it's old news that Fat Tony's company, S&A Concrete, built the Trump Tower. Trump also purchased some land in Atlantic City from guys in the Philly mob.

I think the mob was definitely playing The Donald. He could declare taxpayer funded bankruptcy in AC on all those hotels and casinos and everyone knew that going into that deal. He was a frontman quite often and clearly loves playing that role.

both also donated to his 2024 campaign.
