Nove Tocco now on YouTube/Patreon with Scott B
YouTube link
Seems like a lot of the content will be on the Gangster Report Patreon, which is 5 USD a month. Hopefully a lot of new info coming soon then, probably will join the paywall personally
Notes:
From this initial interview, the main take away is that both Nove Tocco and Paul Anthony Corrado (Big Paulie, 11/11/1958) were not formally inducted into the Detroit family. Tocco refused membership when proposed by Jack W. and Anthony Tocco.
Due to the family being split operationally and politically, Anthony Zerilli told Scott that he "made" both Corrado and Tocco (possibly others?) because they were ultimately loyal to him.

I watched it earlier. Was quite interesting though Scott needs to take a back seat at times. Think it’s about 4/5 minutes of him yapping before Nove says a word. That aside it’s always interesting to listen to stuff on the lesser known families and how they operate
Re: Nove Tocco now on YouTube/Patreon with Scott B
So Tocco and Corrado were given the Previte treatment and just told they were made by Zerilli?

I'm not sure what exactly sure what the situation is, hopefully more details come out because depending on the timeframe this a pretty complicated topic
If Zerilli informally inducts them when Nove Tocco has previously rejected formal membership, what would their status be with the actual Detroit members like the Giacalones and others? Big Paulie Corrado's brother Peter Jack Corrado is an unredacted name on the Detroit 1993 list, so that raises some questions as well - do both brothers fall in with the same faction etc.

This is exciting. Whether he's made or not (I say no) he will be able to give a lot of first time info on a very secretive and unique Family.
Even if he has little insight into high level Family business he will have a million storys about a lot of legendary guys.
A big win for Scott B. If he lets Tocco do the talking and stays in the background (what's up with Detroiters and interrupting?)this could be great!

$5 is a great deal. It's almost a disservice to him. Idk how he makes money that way.JoePuzzles234 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:05 am YouTube link

I just watched the full interview on Patreon.
Very interesting and the next content will probably cover other aspects.

I doubt that scenario would be seen as legit. Unless Tony Z had some deal with Tocco but I can't see that. What would an "informal" membership even look like? Being called a "friend of mine" forever?JoePuzzles234 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 1:52 pmI'm not sure what exactly sure what the situation is, hopefully more details come out because depending on the timeframe this a pretty complicated topic

Looking forward to hear him tell the story of refusing membership to Jack Toccos face. Sounds a little... too good to be true?

You feel like doing a short summary? Maybe Scott will be generous enough to share some write ups etc eventually...JogodoBicho wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 2:41 pm I just watched the full interview on Patreon.

Yeah, it's a complex subject with the information we have now. I don't really doubt him turning down it personally, he really does not seem to have liked Jack W. and he came from a family with historical members too.Proletarian187 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 2:45 pm I doubt that scenario would be seen as legit. Not really much to discuss about the 40 minute interview (filmed at a different point than the linked one) as its centered around Hoffa but here is some stuff I found interesting:
• Tocco agrees that if Anthony Zerilli & Michael Polizzi were on the street, the Hoffa murder would not have happened
• Tocco says that as Joseph Zerilli became less active, the Detroit family lost its standing nationally
• Sylvia Pagano was a St. Louis LCN figure’s daughter
• Chuckie O’Brien was close with Anthony Giacalone’s “oldest son” – I believe the oldest is LCN member Joseph but Tocco instead identifies this person as Jack William Giacalone
• Tocco first met O’Brien with LCN member Anthony Dominic Giacalone in Florida
• Just prior to Hoffa’s disappearance, Tocco recalls hearing rumours that he was an FBI informant
• Scott briefly spoke to Detroit member Anthony Palazzolo shortly before his death
• Tocco says he couldn’t speculate around Palazzolo’s role as the apparent Hoffa shooter but states that he was a serious man
• Tocco knew Calogero (Carlo) Licata very well and describes him as a jovial person
• He doesn’t believe Licata committed suicide and when first told about his death, thought that “shit was about to hit the fan”
• Tocco thought Licata to be smarter than Anthony Joseph Tocco despite being “subservient” to him and Jack William Tocco (his in-laws)
• Whether or not Nicolo Licata was alive, Tocco thinks that Carlo dies in 1981 regardless
• Tocco was told that there wasn’t a Hoffa body by someone involved in the murder
• A Detroit member and onetime acting captain for Vito Giacalone told Scott that if the Hoffa murder could be redone, he would’ve just been shot in the street
- I imagine this is Frank Bommarito?
• Tocco and Anthony Zerilli “made peace” prior to his death
• Tocco would never have sworn loyalty to Jack William Tocco

Re: Nove Tocco now on YouTube/Patreon with Scott B
I watched the whole thing and was gratified to hear him say that the Hoffa hit was probably done by Detroit alone.
The more I find out about the Hoffa hit, the more I'm convinced that people from other families weren't involved. No Sally Bugs, no Andretta brothers. Just Tony Pro saying that he would meet with hoffa, but that's it. Other than that, Detroit people did it.

Any time you are the first to interview someone like this in the mobtube, it's always a big get imo.
Re: Nove Tocco now on YouTube/Patreon with Scott B
But, maybe Nove stays exclusive with Scott and becomes like a DiLeonardo and the other guy, I forget his name-AJ, I think? He sells that crappy book, no offense.

That's a different interview. The one he links to is a little one that's like 15 minutes, but there's a paywalled one that's like 40 minutes and has all the good stuff.
