So from the indictments and the tapped making ceremony, this much is apparent:

- scarfo Jr was not made into the luchesse family as much as he was the "boss" of the luchesse recognized philadelphia mafia.

- because the only family recognizing scarfo faction was the Luke's, regular ligambi- merlino philly mob continues biz as usual being the "philly mob"

- scarfos indictment and imprisonment in the first plus scandal led to there being roughly 5 made guys out there with no family to be in, and with no representation


Questions are these:

- how much were post- stanfa/Natale indictment murders having more to do with scarfos second family than the merlino faction? (Johnny gongs being a possibility, and maybe long john)

- who asked who to do what after Nicky Jr's indictment? Did Persians and Joey electric and Co ask to be brought into the fold, or did the merlino guys demand they come in the fold? Why not just let them join the Luke's?

- what else in our currently understood history of the philly mob can be re examined knowing Nicky Jr was running a competing family, vs just being a luchesse

Scarfo was the luchese capo in charge of the new jersey crew. All the guys who went back to the 60tys. I think I read he was inducted at the same ceremony as Matty Madonna around 99. I seen vic amuso was sending messages in the late 90tys to induct scarfo Jr to crea who kept putting it off but eventually did.
