Saw it on IG and the caption said that Basciano is reportedly being protected by the Mexican Mafia at USP Sandy. I think at least one of his kids is made and is reportedly a pretty good earner, so I’m guessing Basciano isn’t doing too bad inside, all things considered. Always got a big ass smile on his face and a nice tan.

Didn't all of his sons have that big drug bust together awhile back? Wonder if they're still involved.

Wow seems like he gets moved around quite a bit. Guess that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on where you are moving to
He's been in the system for like 15 (?) years at least and has spent his time at MCC, MDC, and all USPs. Even after being sentenced and essentially done with his appeals for what like 10 years now? And he's still in a USP? The fuck is he going to do? Maybe it just takes more time but it's crazy he's not in a FCI yet

That picture with him and the Mexicans is hilarious. He looks like he lost a ton of weight and is aging well. I bet he works out, tans, chills, makes the best of his time...meanwhile Massino was bellyaching about the conditions non stop from day 1. Massino would have probably had prisoners waiting on him and and foot if he made it to a USP and did his time. Even Basciano was openly deferential to him (although he may have been shining him on lol) - Massino really wouldnt have had it so bad once he made it out of MCC/MDC

Reminds me of the good relations that Joey Merlino supposedly had with the Mexicans while he was doing time in Texas. They seem to take to the more charismatic guys like him and Basciano.

I think Scarfo flew the Mexicans that watched his back in Texas up to AC for his Christmas party when they got out too.

Massino complaining to Basciano about having diarrhea at MDC led to one of the funniest pieces of mob dialogue ever….

Massino: I went to the bathroom 15 times yesterday.
Basciano: Holy Christ.

LOL I don’t know why but that kills me.

“He said he was a scumbag, a rat, a troublemaker, a bad kid,” Massino said explaining Basciano’s reasons for wanting Pizzolo dead.

He also testified that Basciano had once volunteered to help him exterminate any rats in the family.

“If we need to kill anybody, me and [another mobster] will do it,” Massino quoted Basciano as saying. A prearranged code word — “Jocko” — would signal the target of a killing.

Massino said that Basciano at one point suspected that Salvatore “Good Looking Sal” Vitale was an informant, and asked to “kill him as he walked out of the gym.

“I said, ‘Fuggetaboudit,’ ” Massino testified.

Basciano’s instincts were good. Vitale was flipped by the feds. "

Always wondered why Massino never hooked with Jerry Capeci to write a book. He’s the one guy with the stories, bodies and history in LCN to make some series money.

No one wants a book by Most of the rats. Hottie and Pennisi don’t have enough stories to fill a comic book….

They're both in witsec, I highly doubt they even have the slightest idea where either one is. They weren't even big fans of eachother when they were seeing eachother every day.

TSNYC wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 5:13 am I recall Richard Cantarella’s testimony or debriefing notes mentioning that as soon as massino got out of jail he was asking a lot of questions about Vitale, his leadership. It seemed that Massino held a grudge or had major doubts about Vitale’s ability or trustworthiness. When you read this stuff you scratch your head that Massino allowed this situation to fester the way it did.

Cantarella said he liked both Massino and Vitale a lot, but in many ways felt in between them.
Hi- where can i see interview or wherever you getting info on Richie Cantarella or Paul Cantarella?

thanks

Luca wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 11:31 am Massino has to have major regrets for becoming an informant. He pretty much threw away whatever legacy and reputation he worked his whole life to build. His family has probably been ostracized from there lifelong friends and family, and for what? What did he actually get out of the deal? He’s spent the last 20 years in protective custody eating shitty prison food. He would have been better off just taking his sentence.
you really think in those rat prison wings in arizona florida and probably fairton they live badly? im pretty sure i was told or read that they can get mcdonalds and shit like that
