Lots of interesting info on a little known Outfit guy. I think the big question for him now is where he fits in in the current day Outfit. According to this article he doesn’t seem well liked.
What I find very interesting in this article is the beef between him and Bobby Dominic. Dominic was also heavily involved in the porn business and didn’t he work for Glitta too? Matassa was Glitta’s driver. You would think they worked together in the 80s.
Almost all of this info is from John J. O'Rourke's affidavit at the LIUNA hearing concerning John Matassa, Jr's involvement with organized crime. You can find it here: https://ipsn.org/fbi-agent-orourke-affidavit/
Surprising that Gangsterreport just regurgitated the same information Matassa was the nephew of Mike and Marco Glitta if I am not mistaken. From my vantage point, I think a guy who had a direct connection during family secrets to the guy hiding Nick Calabrese (Ambrose) as well as continuing to have access to unions is probably still relevant in the Outfit.
I used to see Pudgie and his son often at their bar in Melrose Park - Taverna on Division. The guy has a lot of money.

Never saw him there but I don’t go very often. Did see Solly D with his sons at Taverna.
I talked to a friend in Burr Ridge and he said that Gigi’s new lounge “Are we Live” is the new spot where a lot of the Outfit guys and wannabes hang out. Tony Ocean is even going to start performing their weekly in January. I’ll have to check it out. Anybody here ever go to Venuti’s in Addison?
What's up with the Capri and Capri Express? I was certain that they were both owned by the Rovitos, but I'm not sure if that changed in the past couple of years.
A friend told me that the Rovitos and Salamone’s are cousins and the dispute was over money.
I always assumed rovito was affiliated with Cicero, due to his being the go between when Mickey Davis hired Carparelli to collect from that debtor. Or maybe he just has connections across crews, and wanted to hire that type of work out to a different crew
I think they wanna distance themselves from
Andrew rovito the other brother who has the other restaurants. He got busted for stealing his own customers credit cards at his restaurant
I agree with phat,I love those old fucks and he's right.we all got some cosa nostra in us.I personnely love the life.I think we on the forum would be the ultimate crew! - camerono
So, honestly can’t remember but saw a Marino just posted a picture on fb of Rocky Infelises wife who is still alive. Have the Infelises married into Louie Marino’s family?

Ann is Rocky's widow. She was Tony Capezio's daughter, I believe. She was previously married to a Leonard Marino but I don't know if he is any relation to Louis. She and Rocky didn't marry until 1981.

Ah, could be no relation though the poster does seem to resemble Rocky.

She and Leonard Marino had four children, three of whom were boys, so it may be one of them.
According to CI Achilles (Frank Rosenthal), he believed that Dominick De Santis (or Desantis) and Harry Aleman killed Charles Nicoletti. Does anyone know anything about this Dominick De Santis? I know that there was a Dante Desantis who was a city engineer and the former mayor of Glenwood, and he was also caught up in the Charles Panici scandal. Maybe a relative?

Bodyguard/driver for Joe Lombardo for a period of time in the early 70s. Nicknamed "Diesel." Did some time for narcotics violations. He also worked for Louie Eboli and collected from some of his vending routes.

Diesel was from Melrose Park and his younger brother Elio served as a Deputy on the MP police force if I am not mistaken. He used to hit balls with Joe and Nucci Lombardo at the driving range near the old Kiddie Land. He died mid 1980s if I am not mistaken - had an electrical contracting business. I am not sure if he was ever more than just muscle.
John Ambrose was convicted of stealing and disclosing confidential information regarding the whereabouts of Nick Calabrese while Nick was in Chicago for court…
…but why? I don’t believe it’s ever been revealed as to why he did it. Did he accept some sort of bribe? Did The Outfit offer him or someone close to him some sort of favor? Was there a transfer of a company, real estate, or some asset into his or someone else’s name?
Ambrose’s defense was basically that he bragged about his detail and that information got into the wrong hands. Was that true and he never actually gained anything of value for leaking that info? Was he really just that dumb to clout chase and risk his entire livelihood?
Thanks to anyone that can help clear this up for me.
