Philly Inquirer reporter Joe DiStefano whose been covering Par Funding case in depth had an article saying Vinny Minisquero was on paper owner of two bars in Brooklyn: Court Street Tavern, 449 Court St., and Rebel Cafe and Garden, 2 Knickerbocker Ave., but his name was taken off liquor licenses, and apparently Jimmy LaForte reported managing one of the spots.

Court Street Tavern was a nice spot, I used to go there all the time when it was PJ Hanleys but like everything else over there the hipsters have taken it over.TSNYC wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 5:35 am Philly Inquirer reporter Joe DiStefano whose been covering Par Funding case in depth had an article saying Vinny Minisquero was on paper owner of two bars in Brooklyn: Court Street Tavern, 449 Court St., and Rebel Cafe and Garden, 2 Knickerbocker Ave., but his name was taken off liquor licenses, and apparently Jimmy LaForte reported managing one of the spots.

It was a great place … throwback establishment … had a graduation party there back in the day in the outdoor yard area. That area changed a lot. Esposito’s closed. Casa Rosa gone. Like everything else

I loved PJ Hanleys. There was a great bar kitty corner next to the Tuddy Balsamo Mary in a bathtub. Red Rose was great and Lombardi's Pizza but they're all gone too.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 6:37 amCourt Street Tavern was a nice spot, I used to go there all the time when it was PJ Hanleys but like everything else over there the hipsters have taken it over.TSNYC wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 5:35 am Philly Inquirer reporter Joe DiStefano whose been covering Par Funding case in depth had an article saying Vinny Minisquero was on paper owner of two bars in Brooklyn: Court Street Tavern, 449 Court St., and Rebel Cafe and Garden, 2 Knickerbocker Ave., but his name was taken off liquor licenses, and apparently Jimmy LaForte reported managing one of the spots.

Tuddy Balsamo shrine is St. Lucy.
Red Rose! Loved that place, great memories on Court St. The neighborhood definitely changed but at least it didn’t go to the moolies or the chinks like many others.

Did it enhance there stature in the Gambino family?Did it generate money? It wasn't over a gambling debt like that old genovese guy on trial for punching a guy rite now. Any one have a guess?

I doubt he has inside info here, but he’s making a solid assumption. I doubt loose talk on a wire is enough probable cause to excavate a property. They had to have some confirmation. That’s just my educated guess as well.
