A text exchange the morning of Tantillo and LaForte's induction:

RAPPA: Good morning Dani have a great day so happy for your new job and when you sign the contract even if I’m not there is like I am very proud good luck !!
TANTILLO: Ty Vito I really wish you were there since you were one of the people help me get this contract. I hope we continue getting more work and everything gets even better than before. Ty as always
RAPPA: We will continue have a great day!!

As a member of the Sicilian mafia, Rappa was not permitted to attend the ceremony.

Tantillo, LaForte, and Gradilone were in Lanni's crew.

Description of the incident at Roxy's:

Lanni and Vincent Minsquero were at Roxy's when they got into an argument with another patron and were asked to leave. While being escorted out, Minsquero damaged a painting and a wall. Lanni threatened the owner that he would 'burn this place down with you in it' and identified himself as a 'Gambino'. The police were called and they got Lanni and Minsquero to leave.

18 minutes after the incident, Lanni and Minsquero are observed on CCTV at a gas station across the street from Roxy's. Lanni purchases a red gas container and tries to fill it up at a pump. Minsquero tries to take the container from Lanni and return it to the station and Lanni struggles with him.

Records show Lanni called Roxy's 39 times after being asked to leave and body-cam footage from a police officer at the restaurant shows the owner on the phone with Lanni telling him to stop calling. The officer took the phone from the owner and tried to speak with Lanni who said:

Apologise to me. Beg for my forgiveness. Beg for my forgiveness. Beg for my forgiveness... Beg. Beg. Beg for my forgiveness. Beg. Beg. Beg for my forgiveness. Say, 'I'm sorry, Joe'.

At midnight, the owner and his spouse left the restaurant and went to their car. The owner got in the driver's seat, but before the spouse could enter a man got into the passenger seat, punched the owner in the head, put a knife to his throat and threatened to kill him. The spouse tried to help but a second man punched the spouse, who was knocked to the ground. The man with the knife slashed the car's tires and threatened the spouse with the knife before leaving on foot.

The Rappa name goes back very far in Borgetto. Bonanno consigliere Filippo Rappa was an important member there before he came to the US.
