He certainly made his dreams come true.
Re: What’s your holy grail Cosa Nostra photograph?
Holy grail, more like holy crap. I thought you posted a joke photo until I saw the name/caption. He told the truth about the bookie thing.
He doesn't look like a high schooler, looks more like someone's hesher older brother who sells dimebags out of his parents house. Great shirt and tie combo, though.
Excellent find!
Re: What’s your holy grail Cosa Nostra photograph?
Does the yearbook have Jim Queli as the principal? He was on record as an associate of the Genovese Family and his brother Joe was later made. Jim the principal hung out at Caponigro's 311 Club and was actually murdered by the Fiumara crew later on. Fresolone said he was his principal when he went there.
Not a big deal to list "bookie" in the yearbook when the f'n principal is a Genovese associate.

It was Informer Magazine. Too bad I discovered totally by chance the same day (or the next, I don't remember exactly) of them it was actually a mugshot of Peter Kurten ...TommyGambino wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 3:17 am Who was the guy who said he had a photo of Maranzano and it turned out to be some German guy, swear he was charging people for it

In the 60s, 70s and 80s,I spent quite a bit of time with the top of the Pittsburgh LCN.
JCB posted a picture of me sitting next to Charlie Murgie (Consigliere) also Jo Jo Pecora (Under Boss) and Michael Genovese (Boss).
That was my favorite and it was posted here, along with others taken at Jo Jo's hunting camp, Charlie's Roost in Tionesta, PA.
Dummy me still can't post photos. I'll try to reach out for JCB and see if he can post at least that particular one
BTW: My Avatar here is a picture of Henry Zottola, Zebo, taken the night of my wedding

---- i found him to be very credible in his book. it was more of just the facts, you didn't get a good sense of his personality if I remember correctly. I think the philly faction in Newark / n jersey is one of the most interesting subjects, probably b/c i don't know shit about it, especially post 1995ish. That fucking guy that they killed in late 90's that was a huge earner- forgot his name but he was portrayed in american gangster- the guy who did business w all 5 amilies- seemed like the last of the real racketeers in n jersey repping philly. just cannot recall this assholes name

Salvatore Maranzano and Calogero Bagarella.
Re: What’s your holy grail Cosa Nostra photograph?
Toto D'Aquila. I remember Michael DiLeonardo saying he has one and if he ever wrote a book he would use it.

Queli played handball with Fiumara. He was killed with the same .22 used to kill Vincent Capone, Thomas Palermo, and Frank Chin. The gun was part of a batch brought up to NY for Florida by Purple Gang members Frank Viserto Jr and Richard Rocco.B. wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 9:50 pm Does the yearbook have Jim Queli as the principal? Not a big deal to list "bookie" in the yearbook when the f'n principal is a Genovese associate.

I wouldn't call it a "Holy Grail" pic but I'd love to see Carmine Imbriale. His book is great
