So for that 2015 period the confirmed structure is something like:

John Riggi (Boss)
"Horse" (Acting Boss)
Joe Merlo (Street Boss)
Frank Nigro (Consigliere)
Charles Majuri (Capo)
Manny Riggi (Capo)
Charles Stango (Capo)

Joseph Collina is also indentified as a Capo. Manny Riggi would be the "Big Head" identified in the indictment. Unfortunately he doesn't identify 'Horse'.

Another interesting tidbit is that he says the FBI had an informant inside the Ribera club.

Disappointing that he uses fictitious names for guys. I don't don't know why he did it. It can't be because they weren't charged in the case because he uses the real names of other guys who weren't charged in this case like Nick Milano, Collina, Carl Corsentino, Joseph Sclafani, etc. Strange that that he only identifies the Consigliere as 'Shipe' even though Frank Nigro was charged in the case. I don't think Pistone or Garcia used fictitious names in their books.

I am really looking forward to reading the DeCav book this summer on the beach here at the Jersey Shore.

I’m particularly interested in how accurately they describe Whitey and his retard brokester crew as I’m pretty familiar with them from the clubs here at the shore back in the day and through mutual acquaintances.

I’m also curious if they will disclose which bar they met up at in Toms River with the undercover FBI Agent when those idiots “worked out” the details of the planned brothel they wanted to open up in Toms River that was mentioned in the Indictment that they never got off the ground (hahaha) when this all went down back in March 2015. Hopefully it’s a good read....

Don't know how active he was. He describes Sclafani as a "former enforcer for the family who was now past his day" and using a walking cane.

Yeah you can use the search function on the side to find references and passages in the book. Not just the samples but the whole book. All in all I have to say it is a big disappointment. I was hoping it would identify some new DeCavalcante Capos and Soldiers but barely any DeCavalcantes are mentioned.

The only new info on unknown Capos were Manny Riggi (he is only mentioned once as Oliveir's Capo) and Majuri. We already knew about Collina and he is only referenced once.

He only mentions Sclafani and Carl Corsentino that one time (meeting them at a social event). James "Jimmy Dirt" Castaldi is mentioned briefly (possibly as a member of Stango's Crew, unclear from the passage). No others Soldiers are mentioned. Barely any associates are mentioned either. Many that were indicted in this case are not even referenced.

He doesn't ID "Horse" and only mentions "Milk" a few times and the Consigliere only twice (only by his nickname 'Shipe').

No new DeCavacante members are identified and really no real new information. Combine that with the fictions names for the Gambino guys and it is a big letdown.

Did the search thing and apparently that insult they planned on killing him over was him having an outburst in front of a Tin Ear” Sclafani and his family about him making a joke about his weight lmao

Also apparently he was forced to relocate with his family and was given the option on traveling Europe giving seminars on undercover involving organized crime

Just below the picture of the book on the upper left side is a little search bar with the word GO on the right. Anyway here a few times some Decavalcante members are mentioned and some other interesting tidbits.

Sounds like Oliveri was made inside of John Riggi's house. The only ones present were John Riggi, Oliveri and Rigggi's son (presumably Manny who would become Oliveri's Capo).

Luigi over to the house and escorted him into the old man's room. Riggi went through the ceremony right then and there, transforming Luigi Oliveri from an associate to a made member in the DeCav family. Apart from the boss's son,
there had been no witnesses from the family, which meant it was a completely irregular procedure. For all anyone knew, it hadn't even been a traditional ceremony—pricking the candidate's finger, dropping his blood ...

Despite being a Capo it sounds like Collina was broke.

When you get back, go see my goombah, Joey Collina. Joey's a captain like me. He's fallen on some hard times. See if you can help him out. Maybe you could do some stuff for him. Get him a little money. He's held down, he's on a bracelet ...

This was in reference to when Stango was promoted to Capo.
The ceremony itself took place at a Holiday Inn. Unknown to the family, it was surveilled by the FBI.

Sounds like Castaldo may have been a member of the Stango Crew. Unclear from the passage.
“Giovanni, you need to stay away from Jimmy Dirt. I know Charlie tells you to go see Jimmy Dirt, but whatever you do, Giovanni, stay away from him. Don't go near him.” “Jimmy Dirt” was the street name of a DeCav soldier named Jimmy Castaldo

The incident in question. Sounds like something out of the Sopranos.

The DeCavs had recently put on a social event in a catering hall, not only for crime family members but also for outside relatives, including dozens of children. Luigi had walked in, full of self-importance, now thinking of himself as a made guy. An old-school gangster named “Tin Ear” Sclafani, a former enforcer for the family who was now past his day, had been sitting with his walking cane when ...

The old man lifted the cane and poked Oliveri in the belly. “Hey Luigi, look at you! You're getting fat like your brother!” (Luigi's brother was an extremely heavy individual, three to four hundred pounds.) Luigi exploded, yelling and cursing, showing no respect for the old mobster in front of his wife and grandchildren and the other old timers sitting nearby. “You fucking old men! You don't know what's going on. Things are changing around here, and you better start fucking respecting me!”

Not surprisingly, members of the incoming Administration were extremely angry about Luigi's behavior. Charlie told me that Big Ears and Milk had visited him at his hotel room and told him about the incident. His reaction had been “The kid's out of control. We've gotta do something about him.” Their response was “Yeah, but there's gotta be a

The full passage on Collina. Turns out Stango wasn't lying about his bad health as Collina would die in 2019.

When you get back, go see my goombah, Joey Collina. Joey's a captain like me. He's fallen on some hard times. See if you can help him out. Maybe you could do some stuff for him. Get him a little money. He's held down, he's on a bracele finishing up a sentence. But he's in bad health, so he could use some cash.
