Frank Balistrieri Milwaukee question

Kind of a long shot, but does anyone have any idea who Frank Balistrieri's mistress was around 1973 or so?

He may have contunued it,,,an FBI file I have mentioning him, Charles VInce and Joe Ferriola being in the same dormitory in federal prison in the early 1970s mentioned him having a mistress. I'm continually frustrated as there's no decent book written about Milwaukee given they were around since the early days and were even involved in the Vegas skim.

Do you mean the mostly picture book that's 120 odd pages long? Yes, that is good but I'm looking for a traditional book that does have pictures but is more descriptive.

Not that this relates to your original question but I have always been fascinated with the Milwaukee family.

Few of the interesting things still see today: Pitch's BBQ still has a spot next to Jo Jo's Martini Lounge at Summerfest (huge music festival). While both "have been sold" by the original owners I am pretty sure that the old owners of Pitch's, as well as the old owner of Jo Jo's Martini Lounge had ties (100% positive on Pitch's) were made men. Always wonder if they had some ties into Summerfest during years past (through financial means). Obviously makes no difference in 2019 but it probably did 30-40 years ago.

Another is the infamous light display at Libby's Lounge (now closed but the light display remains). https://urbanmilwaukee.com/2015/01/05/h ... ay-lights/. Dennis Librizzi I believe is a made but was always a prominent figure in the Milwaukee community.

On a complete different aside: I had a former co-worker that was doing house work in the late 70's for Augie Palmisano in the days prior to his car bomb death.

Yeah, that was a great post....the informant was definitely Maniaci given all the clues from FBI files I have. He was in a position to give information on the Midwest families going back to the 1930s. I suspect he didn't know 100% about everything but his insight was very valuable.

Pitch's was not sold. It has been and still is owned by the Picciurro family which has had it for decades and is still run by Peter Picciurro and his son Jimmy. Peter is a long-time made member of what was the MKE family. When it was still verifiably active, Peter was Consigliere.

Wow, had no idea. They survived their own war in the street but not that. What an irony. Thanks. The other day I was trying to think of the suburban restaurant she owned about 25-30 years ago. It was pretty good.
