i kept thinking di nero when he said kitchakowa (or whatever) instead of looking at it that he won 9 thousand he felt lile he was loseing 90 bc he bet small.

my friend kept complaining bc he started w 100....got up to 800..... went down to 380 and kept saying hell get back up to 800.

so even tho he wont 280 to him he was loseing.

.....i woulda been fine with a quarter of that.
but he was a jew as well.

I had Detroit style pizza in Austin for the first time. There is a place in Miami where I just moved that is Detroit style. It’s fantastic. The person who described it a few posts ago summed it up perfectly.

Buddy’s is still tops. Best Buddy’s restaurant is the original on Conant and McNichols on the Eastside. The area is ghetto as all hell, but the restaurant is top notch.I have to give Buscemi’s an honorary mention, although it’s more Sicilian style than Detroit.

To stay on topic, Scott who do you think will get the bump? Pete Tocco, Aceto? Joe D’Anna seems too hot now, and is beefing with a few guys.

also, Detroit-style pizza has made its way to NYC and its fuckin amazing. ridiculous. I always was a typical NY traditionalist pizza snob, but a Detroit transplant opened up a yuppie'ish spot in Williamsburg, and hands down it shits on any pizza ive ever had. She's been successful enough to expand into the West Village and a few other locales, so now ive seen a lot of imposters pop up and even some local NY spots offer "Detroit style" pizza. I had no idea Detroit Style was even a thing. I can only imagine how good it is out in Detroit
What is the name of the establishment, Emmy Squared?

I think either Pete Tocco takes the consigliere spot (while remaining street boss) or Tony Ruggirello steps in, if only for ceremonial purposes. Everyone likes and respects Ruggirello and he's been an "advisor" or "emeritus" as they call it in Detroit, for the last 15-20 years. T.R. ran a crew for decades and was close to both Tocco and Giacalone factions of the Family. I suppose "Joe Hooks," the former underboss, could come out of retirement. I suspect though its up to Ruggirello - I'm guessing Jackie & Lop have told T.R. if he wants it, it's his.

Thanks for the insight Scott!

Any update or info on Joe D’Anna and crew since he got out last year?

Also congrats to you and Jimmy B on the book deal. I’ll send you a separate PM about that.
