Natale was a fearsome guy during the Angelo Bruno years and far from being a complete nobody. He was an inept boss, but I don't know where the idea comes from that he was a pussy.

Mike Ciancaglini also got made by Stanfa, same ceremony as Merlino. Stanfa thought it would pacify them, but Piccolo cautioned against it and was right on the money. Chang was the one raising hell in South Philly after the Scarfo regime got busted and Merlino was in prison.

He seems to have been quite a dickhead but I dunno if he really qualifies for pussy status. He was a killer, and I imagine he was a pretty tough guy.

Yeah that's what I was trying to say in my last post but you beat me to it and said it a lot better.

People on crime forums often use "pussy" imprecisely as a synonym for "guy I dislike", no matter how tough the guy may be.

Yeah Natale killed some guy's in the 70s and likely would have gotten made had he not gone to prison when he did and Bruno hadn't gotten clipped. And while he wasn't the smartest Boss he also was not oppossed to violence. He ordered several murders during his brief time as Boss.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

exactly there were many reasons why Joey chose him as his puppet and him being prone to violence was one of them

It's kind of hard to not admire those guys. They seem to be doing a pretty respectable job of running rackets in their city, especially considering all the insanity that came before.

They strike me as an improvement on Stanfa and Natale, and they don't rat on each other at the drop of a hat. Am I wrong?

Well I would argue the natale era and the merlino era are one and the same since when natale was boss joey had just as big a role, if not bigger in the family.

Well I can't speak for camerono but anyway I like how totally unfazeable Merlino seems to be. I'm not tough like that, so I admire it when I see it.

He sounds exactly like that gotti fanboy from RD I think it's the same guy christopher george. We were talking about how a family with natale was different than the one without him being that joey had a huge role at both times and the guy responds by gushing about how he can do his time which has nothing to do with anything how is the family different then when joey was basically running the family as underboss?

Strange how people admire someone like Merlino, he's been a piece of shit since he was a kid. And I don't mean that because he's LCN.
