re: the Ciccone thing...was this prior to Old Bridge? maybe it was because Gotti Senior was still alive? because for old bridge a lot of those guys plead out. cant imagine after John Senior passed anyone in the family would tell a seasoned member / captain that he has to goto trial lol. Ciccone should have told Pete to go fuck himself. imagine someone telling Nick C "if you take a plea you're a rat" when he got indicted during old bridge lol

This was after John died. It was part of the waterfront case. I have to amend my first comment. Ciccone wanted to take a plea for nine years but faced 16 without it.

Guys in the family were allowed to plead out by then. If I remember right the reason Ciccone couldn't was that the Feds wanted a global plea. Meaning Peter Gotti would also have to plea out and he didn't want to (the charges against Pete were a lot wesker) so everyone had to go to trial.
