Just found this thread and i can say its very informative. Since we’re on the topic of mancuso, just wanna let everyone know mike got released to a halfway house. Found out via GBB.
interesting news slim. do you know how long he is in halfway?
then, probably 3 years supervised release.
Dont know how long. However what’s interesting is how mancuso will call the shots. His messanger Frank Salerno, who was his nephew, is currently locked up. I bet mike gets arrested for associating with known wiseguys.
probably. the bonnano's get caught reguarly meeting guys on supervised release.
recently even.
Supervised release term doesn’t start until his BOP release date, but the Probation Office does “re-entry” work with guys in the halfway house for a smooth transition so he’ll meet with a USPO at some point.
It certainly depends on the situation but I have a friend who is a federal probation officer and they said that time in a halfway house does, in some situations, constitute supervised release.

I read that he was the substitute for Massino as boss but that was in 2012, how was the family without a "boss in that period of 2004-2012?
Chances r that basciano had power till 05 or 06. Then sal montagna ran the show till 09. And then id say mancuso took over. That’s my take.

They had acting bosses and at times ruling panels in that time period. Mancuso was acting boss after Basciano went to jail.

There was a ruling panel after Montagna was deported, followed by Vinny TV Badalamenti as acting boss.

Acting Bosses are not "figureheads", they're usually members who have a good deal of influence and have a good bit of autonomy. Badalamenti was made acting boss by Mancuso before DiFiore. After DiFiore went down, Palazzolo was made acting boss by Mancuso according to the feds...so my guess is DiFiore was selected by Mancuso to be acting boss and was given a good bit of freedom.
Couldn’t agree more. Good post Chucky

After Massino got indicted in 2003 he made Urso the acting boss. In 2004, Urso is indicted and replaced with Basciano who gets indicted that same year, being replaced by Mancuso. It comes out in early 2005 that Massino has flipped. Mancuso stays on as acting boss until his indictment in 2006. Montagna has a run until his deportation in 2009. Ruling panel emerges from 2009 to 2010, by which point Badalamenti is selected as the new acting boss and the incarcerated Mancuso probably becomes the official boss. Badalamenti is arrested in 2012 and replaced by DiFiore. In 2014 Palazzolo becomes acting boss. In 2015 Cammarano becomes acting boss.
