Penn Hills/Pittsburgh
Fayette and Washington County
Youngstown, OH
Altoona/Johnstown
West Virginia
Steubenville, OH

Seven if you count Canton, OH (Ferruccia)

4) What other territories were "with Pittsburgh" that fall outside of these crews? Hankesh and that one guy you were telling me about who ran gambling in Beaver County, what other localities aside from the 7 main crews are to be featured? Erie?

Jack Lorenzetti
Joseph Perfette (was absorbed by Pittsburgh after the fall out)
Dominic Buzzacco
Michael "Mugsy" Malvasi
Jimmy Coates

Your list looks like my list :)
My only question would be Bree Naples, the Niles guy we've discussed. Any ideas yet?

As far as West Virginia in the 80's it has to be Jo Jo.

**Beaver County is 30 miles North of Pittsburgh, it would fall under Western PA. Frank Unis Sr and Frank Unis Jr headed that operation..Frank Jr took over Beaver County gambling for his father. Unfortunately, he was a low life drug addict who was a superstar athlete at Aliquippa High School
Did New Castle(Lawrence County) fall under Youngstown or Unis?

These are all Eastern Ohio names, so they just went over the Youngstown Crew and reported directly to Imburglia? Can you explain that to me? This guy was a "Family Adviser" in Eastern Ohio circa 1980?

Perfette was still with Cleveland in 1980 , there was a split of trumball county in 85-86 50/50
Per the 1990 Pennsylvania Crime Commission Report on Organized Crime:

"The expanding involvement of the Pittsburgh LCN in Ohio also demonstrates the continuing working relationships that exist between the two
LCN Families, despite their violent dispute in the early 1980s. Both LCN Families, also, are represented on the LCN Commission by the New York
Genovese LCN Family. The Cleveland LCN relinquished control of the vending and gambling businesses in the Greater Youngstown (OH) area to the Pittsburgh LCN in the 1970s. The two Families worked out an agreement in which Cleveland received 25 percent of the profits from illegal activity, with Pittsburgh and the local Youngstown mob splitting the remainder."

In the 1990 PA Crime Commission Report, they list Joseph Perfette as an associate of Pittsburgh.

• Joseph Perfette, 49, 332 Avalon Drive SE, Warren, OH, is associated with Pittsburgh Family members Charles Imburgia and Joseph Naples. Perfette operated a large-scale sports and numbers bookmaking operation in Trumbull County, OH, and paid "tribute" to both the Pittsburgh and
Cleveland LCN Families. Perfette was indicted by federal authorities in March 1990 on gambling charges. He pled guilty to the charges and was
sentenced to 14 months' incarceration.

In this article, a confidential informant reported to the FBI that Joey Naples in the late 1970's said that Perfette was "weak" and wouldn't resist a takeover. See article below:

1. http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=5h ... occa&hl=en (Cleve-Pitts War- Youngstown article)

2. http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=69 ... +war&hl=en (Pittsburgh Takeover)

3. http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=wp ... +war&hl=en (Cleve-Pitt Mob war)

**While I agree that part of Perfette's action was also going to Cleveland, I think it is fair to also call him an associate of Pittsburgh since part of his action was getting kicked up to Charlie Imburgia.

Yes, Charlie was the eyes and ears for Big John LaRocca and Mike Genovese in Warren, OH (Trumbull County). Frank Amato Sr. sent Charlie to Warren back int he 1940's to ensure Pittsburgh was receiving a cut from the Jungle Inn Casino in Halls Corner. Warren, OH was a separate faction than Youngstown and was traditionally the territory of Cleveland through Tony DelSanter/James Licavoli. Charlie had a network of bookmakers that made their drop at his pizza shop, The Sunrise Inn. DelSanter knew Charlie operated there and the two had a mutual respect for one another and were actually "friends."

Awesome. So that needs to be noted that he was Warren based.
1 Do we have a photo and address of The Sunrise In?
2 Of the four names you provided, which ones went from CL to PB as associates? I recognize the names Lorenzetti, Malvasi and maybe Coates from CL.
3 So what's the dynamic between him and Joe Sica regarding being in an advisory capacity? I was going to place him and Sica next to each other but it sounds like both men had specialized roles that don't fall inside the traditional hierarchy or serve as substitute 'consigliere' role.

1. Sunrise Inn-510 E Market St, Warren, OH 44481 (I emailed you the photo)

2. Since the 1970's, the Warren faction was paying tribute to "BOTH" the Cleveland and Pittsburgh families.

3. Charlie and Joe Sica by 1980 were both winding down a bit. They had been in the rackets since the mid 1930's and both had long standing ties to LaRocca and Genovese. Joe Sica and Louie Volpe were longtime business partners in East Pittsburgh. The way that I understand it is that Sica advises on matters in Pittsburgh and Imburgia advises on matters in Northeast Ohio.

***At the end of the day, Charlie wasn't living in Warren, OH for kicks. Warren, OH kicked a percentage to Pittsburgh.

That agreement was only for Youngstown rackets , perffette didnt start kicking up to IMburgia until peanuts turned him over to Murgie. This was in 85-86 maybe it had something to do with jack white dying and also the cleveland family was decimated.

In the same 1990 report it even makes the same claim ,
