George Borgesi

Post by slimshady_007 »

I have 2 questions regarding borgesi:
1. Any speculation on what his rank is currently?
2. Ive heard that borgesi whacked 11 guys. Anyone know what murders he’s believed to have committed?

11 hits in this era is crazy.....I'm not disputing.... hard to think he did that many w/o ever getting wrapped up on 1 of them-especially in Philly

I think the 11 hits thing would be murders he was involved in(drive, plan, approve...). Like Gravano's 19 murders. So really any murders the Merlino crew took part in could be one of them. Deluca, Diaddorio, Bocchino, Veasey, Mazzuca(?), Avicolli, Sodano, Turra, Brennan, Marconi........

He beat murder charges in 2001 I believe in the Merlino crew indictment.

Latest reports suggest he's a captain and has been since around 2016.

Borgesi is a moneymaker, started bookmaking when he was 17 in the 80s with his Uncles Phil and Joe Ligambi.

Correct. I don't think he has ever been implicated as a shooter in a hit. He has been implicated in some form in the Ron Turcchi, Anthony Turra, Ralph Mazzuca (dumping the body) and, I believe, Billy Veasey murders. He was also implicated in the attempt on Anthony Milicia (organizing and supplying the car and guns). Don't recall if he was charged for the attempt on Joey Ciancaglini and John Stanfa. He probably took part in the Louie DeLuca, Jimmy Diaddorio and Felix Bocchino hits in some form as well.

The Merlino crew were acquitted of the Billy Veasey and Anthony Turra murders and the attempted murders of Joey Ciancaglini Jr, John Stanfa and Anthony Milicia. There was a bit of split in the Joseph Sodano murder verdict but Merlino was acquitted of it in his retrial.
