Re: Giancana’s killer revealed?
According to two witnesses, they allegedly saw two men in Tony's car who later came out and then the killer stuck his gun under the chin and fired the fatal shot. The problem is it was night time and so the witnesses couldnt identify the attacker or attackers but they saw them leaving with some car and identified the color, which is not explained in the report which means that there was another guy who possibly acted as a getaway driver. Maybe the hit man wouldve fired more shots into Tony's neck but it was a hit which occurred in a public place and thats why he used .38 caliber and plus a silencer since everyone allegedly heard one short "pop".

Another interesting thing to note is that Accardo was always followed by some types of myths and false stories his whole life and even after death lol
I mean he was once labeled as being one of the shooters in the St Valentines Day Massacre which is not true or I never personally ever came across an info such as that one. Another thing would be when in 1979 he was called to testify before a grand jury because of his alleged DIRECT involvement in the killings of the burglars who entered his home, meaning some stories came out at the time that he participated directly in the tortures and killings but still later it came out that it wasnt true at all since all of the executions were performed by guys such as Nick and Frank Calabrese, Ronnie Jarrett, Frank Saladino, John Fecarotta and possibly Joe Montetelone. Also that he never spent a night in jail which again is false since he did spend a couple of nights once and theres one photo given by Prof Binder i think, which was taken during Accardos release and the old boss looks quite unshaven which was something very unusual for him. And now we have the Giancana thing...

I also think that somewhere at the middle of his career, Accardo became one of most cautious crime bosses that the world ever witnessed. I mean he went through a lot and witnessed a lot of dangerous situations by making few mistakes here and there such as in the meat business, or the dope trade or buying that gigantic mansion and stuff like that. So when the tax trial occurred and his conviction got overturned, I believe that from that point on Accardo was a new individual, meaning he really went under the radar and sold most of his huge properties and I also think that it was the same point from where he began to slowly take all matters in his own hands, like he and Ricca placing Cerone as the head of the Outfit and so on.
So my point here is that I dont think Accardo wouldve implicated himself in such as dangerous situation, and since we're all aware about the grudge between him and Sam, I also dont think that Sam wouldve turned his back at Accardo, since Sam was another quite paranoid individual but he obviously felt safe with Blasi.

As of June 19, 2015, The Giancana murder case was still UNSOLVED which means it was still considered a "cold" case as of 3 years ago which was 8 years AFTER the Family Secrets Trial ended.

Re: Giancana’s killer revealed?
Correct. There is also the interview with John Binder and Michael Corbitt. Binder says it was Blasi and Corbitt says it was Spilotro.
Anyway, the POINT is that the Murder was never solved at Family Secrets. That is complete bullshit.

Re: Giancana’s killer revealed?
Corbitt isn't a great source on the matter, IMO. Binder is a researcher and I'm sure he's considered the Accardo theory or is waiting on more information. The news thing was a Goudie piece, if I remember correctly, so all of a sudden he's credible now?
Receiving new information is all about challenging yourself to dig deeper to get to it all, not dismissing it with a hand wave because you've been conditioned to believe different for all these years. I'm not saying you should accept it outright but it is still something that should be examined thoroughly

Re: Giancana’s killer revealed?
You're mising the point. Antiliar stated as a fact that the Giancana murder was solved at the Familiy Secrets Trial. I am saying that is completely false. That is my ONLY point, nothing else.Snakes wrote: ↑Sun Jul 08, 2018 5:04 am Corbitt isn't a great source on the matter, IMO. Antilliar doesn't just pull stuff out of his ass, though. I seem to remember reading something in Cohen's book on it, too. I am not at my house so I don't have the book readily available.

Re: Giancana’s killer revealed?
Nobody said he pulled it out of his ass. I suspect he said it because Frank Jr. told him.

Re: Giancana’s killer revealed?
As I previously stated,, my own or personal opinion would be that this is just another so-called "Accardo Myth", until Pete comes to us with some new details or until we receive the needed files, which ALLEGEDLY exist...until then I dont believe a word what Jr says
