Origins of non-Patriarca crews in NE

A lot of great stuff in here. Thank you all for the responses. I'm not surprised to hear that the Genovese connection is that old. My feeling is that some of these "satellite" crews might go back farther than we'd expect. With the DeCavalcantes they had LaSelva as underboss there since the 1950s, so you figure he had to have been with them for a while before that and he may have had a predecessor running things in CT in the 1930s and 40s.

Im almost positive the guy from Bridgeport well technically Stratford is made I'm not sure how active he is these days I know he's got a couple strip clubs, the recycling thing and a restaurant or two, the guys loaded ,my mother and uncles grew up on the same street and two of my uncles remain closewith him to this day but outside of him can't think of any made guys born here you had Vic Richitelli from Bpt that died and despite the fact he may deserve it and want it Dean is definitely not made Yet anyways you never know he's home now still on papers but home and w Tony dying while Dean was away you never know ,Tony and Dean were close i dont wanna say for sure but it seems Tony brought Dean along groomed him so to say, someone close to me went down in that indictment ,another associate that used to pick up money and whatnot and 100 pct Dean is not made but probably as close as it gets

These guys are right alot of associates in CT though it is surprising not more made guys but Cheech is right as I've seen him say before that things operate differently up here

ya Gus, brain fart on that. 100% made but i dont know how active. he is for sure into a million things. never seems to get "caught up." gambinos got that hot package in Stamford thats always getting touched. west side seems to stay under radar with there clubs and garbage.

Until reading here I never knew DeCavs were in waterbury ,was along time ago I'm only 36 but Cheech your right Gus into a million things legal he had Teddies before it shut down he's got Bishops Corner in BPT, Keepers in Milford,the recycling and waste station in Milford couple restaurants in BPT and thats not even touching close to what he has I don't know how active he is at this moment but I do know he's a gangster from beginning till end so nothing would surprise me my uncle is still friends with him they used to be tight when i was younger they grew up on same street in Stratford and went to school together ...Gus is loaded he's got big money as far as Frannie goes I don't know that much about him except from a few stories I've heard over the years but I've heard on more than one occasion that he's made as far as Dean goes I know that before he went away this last time he 100 percent was Not made but who knows since he's been home I know he's on paper so he'll most likely be being careful but he's put in the work ,he's standup, he's somewhat young ,he's got guys under him that earn and respect him ,I know if anybody from CT is next in line to get there button it's Dean he's put in work since he was young he came up wanting this life he's known Tony forever from what I heard was around him alot when Tony wasn't locked up that is must of hurt him when Tony came home and died and Dean wasn't even home..Dean knows alot of connected guys from all over from over the years and from being in prison I think he was even on the Skins tapes meeting him at a diner in Jersey talking about what I don't exactly remember I have a friend who stays in contact with him here and there and also have a relative that went down in that last indictment and did a little prison time that knows Dean well and my guess is he will probably be back to same old shit sooner or later its what he knows his wife got the pizzeria in Stamford, good food too btw and his right hand got a pizzeria too in the next town over I have a feeling that if he hasn't already since hes been home that when hes off papers he'll get straightened out ..who knows tho.. I also think that if he was on NY or NJ he would have most likely been made already for whatever reason they don't make alot of guys from CT. But for years the Binos have always had somebody who had Ct. Again I believe at some point he gets it

Cheech used to see you post over at GBB some time ago,your pretty spot on with your posts I just became a member here recently I dont post to often only post about stuff I know and subjects I'm familiar with ,it's good to see another poster from CT that's an area I'm familiar with I've lived here 25 years have a big family from mainly NY and CT I live in Ansonia now but have a rental property in New Haven and my mother also lives in New Haven and sister lives in East Haven just from seeing your posts over time I guarantee we know some of the same people my wife is also from out your way i grew up in BPT but have a huge family and know people everywhere unfortunately i was away a way for a little while so I haven't gotten a chance to get on the boards at all but I'm back ,anyways bro I just wanted to tell you it's good to talk about Ct a little bit and that your posts are on point like you said threads on CT are rare yet you'll see San Jose threads or does lcn still exist in milwaukee lol

Good call UTC I haven't been around for a while your right though he had issues for years in Milford with that place ....and just wanted to add that Gus brother Frannie was def made or so I'm told and passed away while in the Fed's doing his time it was a complete shock to the family was just talking with someone and asked I guess that would be a good reason that I don't hear much of him this happened around 89 or 90 I was just a kid then

Milford didn't get much attention but a lot went on there. Do you remember that brawl over at Sante's Manor with the made Genovese guy from Orange? Fight over bringing their own homemade wine. LOL
Then there was Taylor Breton living there. The VP of HR for a major manufacturing place got involved in the post-Sunday gambling true-up, the most popular ice cream place was mobbed up, the primary hair salon, and two major car dealerships.

Associates in recent years have included Michael Vitti of Stamford; Silverio Califano of Stamford; John Liquori of North Haven; Michael Pepe,of North Haven; Domenico Manchisi, of Shelton; Daniel Degruttola, of Stamford; Frank Potolicchio, Jr.of Norwalk; Victor Amereno, of Stamford; John Colello, of Stamford; Then Galante and Pontoriero as associates I guess. Forgot the guy that used to operate out of U.S. Repeating Arms (Winchester). Ralph something.

All those who were associates , except for Galante and Pontoriero, are aged 40-early 50's. Whether they are still active I don't know.
