Re: Vito Rizzuto's successor(s)?
Is there reason to believe that Leo Rizzuto is now part of the organization?

Vito Rizzuto's successor(s)?
There was an article awhile back that said leo was on some type of ruling panel running the organization, no idea if its true though.B. wrote:Is there reason to believe that Leo Rizzuto is now part of the organization?

Here are links to the back-to-back French-language articles written by journalist Félix Séguin:

Leonardo's supposed role in the mafia roundtable is not specified in the joint investigative reporting by the Le Journal de Montréal newspaper and the J.E. TV program--investigation was conducted in the last few months, the culmination of which was the two articles written by Félix Séguin yesterday and the TV segment that aired last evening. Here is the video link to the TV segment:B. wrote:Is there reason to believe that Leo Rizzuto is now part of the organization?

Warning: The beginning of the segment is very, very cheesy.
The journalist (Félix Séguin) and the TV program undertook a big risk in alleging that Leonardo is somehow a part of the Montreal Mafia. I think a lot of people working in Canadian media learned from the experience of The Sixth Family co-authors, who were sued by Leonardo and his sister, Bettina, for defamation. I'm fairly certain the reason we never read about the settlement of the case is that the claim in the book about a lawyers' division of the Rizzuto organization had lawsuit and damages awarded written all over it.

I still don't believe Leonardo is a part of this ruling panel. I'm still on board with the Sollecito's running things up there. Until I see some hard proof Leo is involved I call bullshit.
If I didn't have my case coming up, I would like to come back with you gentlemen when this is over with and really lay the law down what is going on in this country.....

Leo Rizzuto is legit, all he is doing is being an in house counselor for members of the family. From what I can tell, Rocco Sollecito is part of a ruling panel. The two likely successors to Vito Rizzuto throne, are Rocco son Stefano, and Vito nephew Emanuele Rizzuto. My 2 cents.

Re: Vito Rizzuto's successor(s)?
I could agree with either of the two. I've been one that thought all along Leo was not on a ruling panel nor was he a threat for being the boss. Other than helping and advising his father on business deals, we've yet to see anything that shows him being active within the family on other matters.Giacomo_Vacari wrote:Leo Rizzuto is legit, all he is doing is being an in house counselor for members of the family. Honestly I think Rocco was either offered the top spot or Vito knew he wouldn't take it and offered to give it to Stefano.

Re: Vito Rizzuto's successor(s)?
Vito Rizzuto had only one nephew: Calogero Renda (Paolo's son).
Vito's wife, Giovanna, has no siblings; therefore, she and Vito didn't have any nephews or nieces other than Paolo and Maria Renda's children, i,e., Calogero and Domenica.

Robbert Manno, son of Domenico, is also a nephew of Rizzuto.
Re: Vito Rizzuto's successor(s)?
Domenico Manno's son is Vito's first cousin.

What do you think will happen when some more of the big dogs get out of prison, names escape me at the moment, but there was an article fearing more bloodshed when they get out.
Re: Vito Rizzuto's successor(s)?
Is there a difference? Here in the Netherlands it means exactly the same.antimafia wrote:Domenico Manno's son is Vito's first cousin.

I do understand to what you're referring because, in a number of languages, a single word can signify different relatives. For example, in Italian, "nipote" means nephew, niece, grandchild, grandson, and granddaughter.Lupara wrote:Is there a difference? But I'm fairly certain that in countries where English predominates, when you refer in English to your nephew, you are talking either about the son of your sister or brother, or the son of your brother-in-law or sister-in-law.
Who is this Emanuele Rizzuto mentiond on page 1 of this thread?
