Philly restaurants
What are the current Philly money restaurants/ Hangouts with amazing food? Everytime I go to a famous one I'm blown away by how delicious everything is (Villa de roma, chicks, the saloon). But where are the lesser known ones?

Radicchio, a no-reservation BYOB at the corner of Fourth and Wood, is a favorite of one-time mob boss Joseph “Uncle Joe” Ligambi,

Re: Philly restaurants
So there’s Chicago ‘pie’ and there’s NY pizza.
Apples and bowling balls.
What’s pizza like in Philly? Thin? NY style? Any particular toppings etc?
What would be unique about a ‘Philly slice?’
Talk to me gents...

Good article on Chicago pizza, deep dish is for tourists. Chicago pizza is thin crust cut into small squares.

Yessir. I can count on my fingers the number of times I ate deep dish growing up. Chicago thin crust pizza, rolled out super thin with a roller, shows close similarities to pizza a la Barese/Pugliese, unsurprising given that it originally came out of family recipes and Chicago has a large population from Bari. Unlike typical New York style, derived from pizza Napuletana, of course.NickyEyes1 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 9:55 am Good article on Chicago pizza, deep dish is for tourists. More relevant to the current topic, I can +1 Stogie Joe's. Food is great, plus I def got the vibe the place could be connected, due to some of the characters hanging around. I'm still not clear as to whether Philly has it's own pizza style. But as a distinctive local item, the roast pork and rapini sanguich is great.
