Instead of the panel being street bosses, maybe they are on a panel below Merlino and if true acting boss Ligambi, but above the street boss Lancelotti. So they don't get involved in day to day operations and appear legit and or retired, but still have a higher status than everyone except Merlino and perhaps Ligambi. Just a thought. I just don't see those three answering and being below Lancelotti.

Philly was never that overly structured. And it surely is not now. I think a lot of the confusion stems from ScottB always overstructuring and sensationalizing his reporting on Philly. Going by what GA reported after Ligambi was indicted Mazzone was Acting Boss (with Ciancaglini and Narducci being on a panel with him or Ciancaglini being his number 2). Now it looks like Lancelotti is Acting Boss after Mazzone and Ciacaglini stepped down. No need to over complicate things.

Do you remember if it was Scott B who said that Ligambi became acting boss again in 2016, following Merlino indictment?? And yes that is to this point a great view of the info currently. That it went from Mazzone to Lancelotti as acting boss, since Ligambi was off the street and came back to the streets probably semi-retired or retired. But I'm really surprised that you already accepted Lancelotti as street or acting boss .

Since his release we’ve had reports of angling for rackets, promotions, sit downs and meets with other families and now he’s suddenly off to Florida?

Need more proof for yours to buy that.
I agree 1000% Sonny. Every thing we have read states
Borghesi has been making big time moves with the guys he met
in the feds. Boston, FLA, NYC. He goes through all that just
to quit the mob. Does not make sense.
I also I agree with your earlier post. Maybe Merlino learned
from Parello and Westside guys the ways to confuse LE &
the Black Hand Forum :ugeek: regarding the structure and present activity
of the Cheesesteak Mob.

So those were the words he used? Not "The boss of Philly?" "Main man" is certainly more open to interpretation. Or speculation as SonnyBlackstein put it.

Wait...you mean it's unlikely a small family has a boss, a street boss, an underboss, a consigliere, three counselor emeritus, and 5 or 6 captains?

Yes and 3 Underboss. Obviously info on Philly needs updating. Some charts still list Mazzone as Official Underboss. At the same time when both Ciangaglias were listed as acting and official underboss and Mazzone as acting boss. Sorry can't spell Chicki and his sons last name lol

There have definatley been too many guys listed as Admin
members over the past couple years. No organization has
that much redundancy.

From our Phily Chart:

Capos:

2. George “Georgie Boy” Borgesi/52 – South Philly, Delaware County and South Jersey
3. Michael "Mikey Lance" Lancellotti/52 – South Philly and AC
4. Joseph "Scoops" Licata/74 – North Jersey
5. Anthony “Ant” Staino/58 (IP/2/17/2020) – South Jersey and South Philly

Dom Grande could have taken over for Staino or maybe Lancelotti. He could have been given a new crew but that seems unlikely.

Thanks for the info on Ciancaglini Shotgun.

Don’t forget Marty Angelina was a South Philly capo before he went away, wonder where he’s gonna fit in once he gets off paper.

That was the weirdest part. The guy is one of the worst arch-criminals in town, and from what I've heard/read a truly scary son of a bitch, and now he wants to be Mr. Totally Clean Legitimate Businessman? I'm skeptical. Good for him I guess, but those old habits are gonna die hard.

I appreciate the lack of ridiculous bullshitting in the newest Mob Sitdown, but I think Anastasia and his sidekick went a little too far in the other direction.
My problem is I hate everybody.

Then he says, “And as for Chickie’s crew, let’s leave things the way they are for now. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians,” which was his way of saying he wanted more soldiers and less captains. He wanted to keep all the power for himself.

Then he says to Chuckie, “What . . . about . . . Salvie?”

It was like he said it in slow motion, like a movie. I couldn’t believe it. I immediately felt sick. I knew at that very second that my uncle had decided that he was going to turn on Salvie and was now going to make a case for killing him.

To further expound a bit on the crews.

-George Borgesi's Crew is/was made up of Associates with no made guy's according to Lou Monacello. He had two proposed members under him (Monacello and his brother Anthony Borgesi) who ran his operation while he was in prison. This was as of 2011 so things may have changed since then.

-A little earlier it was reported that the families two main Capos were Lancelotti (South Philly) and Anthony Staino (South Jersey). Of course Lancelotti's Crew was also active in South Jersey and Staino's also in South Philly.

-Marty Angelina was IDed as a Capo in the 2011 indictment. I don't recall any further info coming out on his crew.

No idea if Staino or Angelina kept their rank/crews when they went to prison. Unlike NY, the Philly family traditionally doesn't really use Acting Capos (except for North Jersey on occasion). Due to Staino's long prison sentence I suspect he was replaced. Dom Grande is likely to have inherited at least part of his crew being that the Grande Crew had members in South Jersey.
