Can someone put up a link to the Licata/Fazzini detention memo. Thanks.

Stand corrected. I don't know anyone close to that family so no argument. I've always known the name as I pronounced it, but Vitale to me is "Vee-tal-A but the Detroit Vitales say "Vye-tal-ee." Ciancaglini properly would be chee-ann-cahg-lee-nee but on documentaries heard it as "Ching-ah-leen." Jen-O-vay-see I've heard as Jen-O-veese.

Technically, "Cerone" is "Cha-rone-ay" instead of "Suh-Rone" but it all depends on how bastardized your name is by English pronunciation. Some have lasted longer than others.

If Lancelotti is now an acting or street boss, do you think Grande is running Lancelotti's old crew or does Grande have his own crew separate from Lancelotti's? Also, if Dom is running Lancelotti's old crew, wouldn't Lance be pretty much in the same boat as Grande, in regards to worrying about getting caught up in that recent indictment?

The Anastasia report of a 3 man panel was in Feb. 2015. Mazzone, Ciancaglini, and Narducci. I wonder what the date was of the party that Merlino introduced Lancelotti as boss of Philly?? Just since Joey Merlino was indicted in 2016 I've read that Ligambi had become acting boss again. I've read that it was the panel, no panel, and different combinations of the following names with Merlino always the official boss,as the administration Mazzone, both Ciancaglinis, and Ligambi after Anastasia backed off the ruling panel theory. I think we just have to wait it out for the correct answers.Chucky wrote: ↑Tue Jun 12, 2018 7:36 amI was surprised too. Just a couple years ago Anastasia said there was a ruling panel in place and the guy were Mazzone, Chang, and Narducci and that Ligambi was consigliere...but now that is not the case? Borgesi is meeting with NY guys and Merlino, and I'm supposed to believe that shitbag actually went straight? Him? Of all people...Ivan wrote: ↑Tue Jun 12, 2018 6:17 amYeah, their interpretation struck me as really conservative. Though I guess it beats "when will the bodies start dropping?" style sensationalism.Chucky wrote: ↑Tue Jun 12, 2018 4:48 am I have trouble seeing Borgesi going legit given that he's been with Merlino in Florida quite a bit, met with Patsy Parrello in Philly, met with Joe Bilotti down in Florida, and has been in contact with their Boston guys...all of this reported by Anastasia and Capeci. Fuck, in this video there is footage of Borgesi (and Mazzone) having a walk and talk with Dom Grande. There has been similar smoke with the Scarfo guys, but who knows?
Licata said the first thing Joe Pungitore did after getting out of prison was meet with Ligambi and Staino and tried to convince them to clip Joe Grande, and he fought Grande in jail for not being loyal to Merlino/Ligambi. Does that sound like a guy who plans on going completely legit?
I'm not saying they're wrong, they could be right. What I am saying is that they both are contradicting themselves quite a bit here, based off their own reporting for the past 2-3 years. The Stefanelli tapes from 2010/11 had all those guys blabbing about the status of things then, and the picture painted by Licata about Mazzone and Pungitore (Borgesi and Johnny Chang were't mentioned) didn't sound like two guys running off into retirement.
For what it's worth, Frank Narducci violated his supervised release twice and I think it happened once for Sal Scafidi, We haven't heard much about that Grande drug case in a bit either.

Also maybe Anastasia was close to being correct about the panel. Instead of the panel being street bosses, maybe they are on a panel below Merlino and if true acting boss Ligambi, but above the street boss Lancelotti. So they don't get involved in day to day operations and appear legit and or retired, but still have a higher status than everyone except Merlino and perhaps Ligambi. Just a thought. I just don't see those three answering and being below Lancelotti.

Or it could be that outside the family and the Feds nobody really has any clue and it’s all just speculation.

Regards Bor-gee-si I’d be shocked if he’s pulled up stumps. Every report on him should nice the 90’s has him the most dyed in the wool gangster since Gotti.
Since his release we’ve had reports of angling for rackets, promotions, sit downs and meets with other families and now he’s suddenly off to Florida?
Need more proof for yours to buy that.

Wasn't in the last year, there was some speculation that if Merlino went down, George could be the new boss. That he made up with everyone and got back his capo rank and crewand back in good with Merlino. Also your right about it all being speculation and no proof of leadership ranks and guys being 100% legit. I wouldn't even think Lancelotti as definitely The Street Boss yet until more proof or evidence. Merlino could have meant the captain of Philly crew. Do we know how many crews they currently have??SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Tue Jun 12, 2018 12:23 pm Regards Bor-gee-si I’d be shocked if he’s pulled up stumps. Merlino introduced Lancellotti as his "main man" in Philly to Parrello and Onofrio

Philly was never that overly structured. And it surely is not now. I think a lot of the confusion stems from ScottB always overstructuring and sensationalizing his reporting on Philly. Going by what GA reported after Ligambi was indicted Mazzone was Acting Boss (with Ciancaglini and Narducci being on a panel with him or Ciancaglini being his number 2). Now it looks like Lancelotti is Acting Boss after Mazzone and Ciacaglini stepped down. No need to over complicate things.
