Re: Alphonse Trucchio
Alphonse Trucchio became a “made” member of the Gambino crime family in the early 2000s, when he was in his 20s. After Trucchio’s father, Gambino crime family Captain Ronald Trucchio, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2005, Trucchio, who was 30 years old at the time, was promoted to the rank of captain. He was the youngest of the Gambino crime family’s captains, and one of the youngest captains in the history of La Cosa Nostra. In that capacity, Trucchio was responsible for supervising crews of street level members, also known as “soldiers,” and associates. From 2005 until his arrest in 2011, he assembled and led the Gambino Family’s largest, youngest, and most active crew.

I dunno... might be just me but I think it would take a lot more than a captain asking an associate in his crew to kick up to get a captain slapped by a high ranking older guy in the fam and knocked down..SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 10:52 am Al ‘extorting’ Roc’s brother. honestly I've heard trucchio is not the most well liked based on his attitude... people were saying roc has what it takes to be a leader in the fam as long as he stays out of trouble, heard he's well liked.

What i said was a stretch. Just was sayin that trucchio comes off as very entitled if some of the reports are true.Fughedaboutit wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 8:11 amCome on man, sometimes you have some decent posts the next second you are making silly posts like this and asking about gay associates. I forgot to mention before my bad.. but yes the situation you're talking about with trucchio disrespecting a lawyer... the lawyer he was disrespecting was Joseph corozzo.. jojo son.. so I guess he pissed off a lot of important people...newera_212 wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 5:56 pmthats crazy. wasnt the guy roccaforte, and i guess his brother by extension, IN Trucchio's crew? those guys all came up together. a few of them went as far as getting together and clipping someone who wanted to cut Roccaforte out of the pot business they had. I think the very brother that Trucchio was apparently trying to shake down was arrested with Trucchio and his father back in the day, working in a wire room for a bookmaking operation they had.chubby wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 1:09 pmVernace slapped trucchio while locked up... ya al tried to shake down rocs brother and from my understanding rocs dad went to Vernace... you don't try to shake down a made members brother. I remember reading the story on the boards as well. The getting smacked for insulting the lawyer thing didnt make much sense, I think Al wanted to try to get one of the co-defendents tried separately so that he wouldnt be sitting next to someone charged with murder at court, and the lawyer got pissed. Thats what was reported at least, so unless he was very disrespectful behind closed doors, doesnt seem like too much of a dis. But he must have had a serious falling out with the Roccaforte brothers , essentially childhood friends of his, and must have really been putting pressure on the younger brother , for him to get slapped AND broken down.
I wonder how much weight Vernace's word carries now that he's dead. although im sure to strip someone of their crew the rest of the admin has to OK it
and as far as Admins go, take what the feds say as gospel. if they know, they know. if they dont know, they wont just throw out names to the public. thats why Esposito's rank wasnt listed in his indictment...the feds literally dont know (or else it'd be in there). i dont know him personally but that couldnt be any futher from the truth based on what we've publicly seen. probably the youngest guy ever to get made in recent times. youngest official capo in recent times, maybe youngest capo ever if we're not including the LCN great depressing 'formation years'slimshady_007 wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 12:48 pmTrucchio must’ve rlly been askin for a LOT of cash. he was helping administer a huge multi million dollar sports book when he was right out of high school. not being a runner or answering phones, but overseeing the operation. its not like his dad was some huge powerhouse where underlings had to lay down for him and respect his son by proxy. when his dad died the higher ups could have told Al to get lost. instead? Al had made guys, older than him , reporting to him and paying him, and was seen directly meeting with bosses at least twice that we know of - one of those times even meeting with bosses of another family. that crew he had even though it wasnt a ton of made guys was massive and they had their fingers in literally everything
him driving around ozone park looking for recruits is bullshit. that was actually said about his father, in an old baseless news article. all those guys in that crew more or less grew up and blew up together and also grew up in and around LCN via relatives or just being in the neighborhood. what fuckin type of sense does it make for someone to drive around a neighborhood and look for kids, complete strangers, to trust with committing large scale organized crimes for you? especially when that neighborhood was and still kind of is, filled with kids who aspire to work for you? like waiting on line to fill out job applications to work for you type of shit...not Al and his dad cold calling people up saying "wanna loan money and sell pills for me?" makes no fuckin sense..

yeah i heard that as well. I THINK it had something to do with Al refusing a global plea and/or trying to sever himself from the case or getting a co-d severed from the case. on top of that Corrozzo Jr the lawyer is not an understated guy, super aggressive and alpha-wolf type of guy. so im sure their personalities clashed and they butt heads because "there can only be one"chubby wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 12:35 pmI forgot to mention before my bad.. but yes the situation you're talking about with trucchio disrespecting a lawyer... the lawyer he was disrespecting was Joseph corozzo.. jojo son.. so I guess he pissed off a lot of important people...newera_212 wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 5:56 pmthats crazy. wasnt the guy roccaforte, and i guess his brother by extension, IN Trucchio's crew? those guys all came up together. a few of them went as far as getting together and clipping someone who wanted to cut Roccaforte out of the pot business they had. bottom line for as good as he was doing and the amount of clout he had, he must have pissed off the wrong people to the point where there was no stepping back over the line. usually things can be resolved with money, communication and time - especially if no one was hurt or killed. so they must have been sick of Al and the older Roccaforte brother must have had some serious juice (he was also in attendance with Al at that intra-family meet up in Jersey back in 2010...as a solider)

Re: Alphonse Trucchio
I agree with alot of whats said above.
I think most of the 'stories' of Al are just that, stories. Bullshit.
Al was made young and bumped to Capo when his dad went away. Most guys these days when they go for a long stretch get forgotten and have trouble holding over their own status and rackets, let alone being able to bump their son up. So I think we can deduce that Al got his stripes off his own achievements, with little to no influence from the father.
Secondly Al was knocked down from asking Roc's brother, a member of his crew for money? A Capo asking an associate to kick up is going to cost him his stripes? In what world?
Al getting in trouble for his 'run-in' with Corozzo? They had words, at best and Corozzo's not even made. Who gives a shit who his father is. Ask Cirillo junior what happens when an unmade guy crosses a line with a made guy.
And his old man was one of the top 5 most powerful wiseguys in the country, and look at where he still ended up.
Vernace slapping Al? What happened to Parello when his laid hands on another made guy? IF it happened it would have had to be for a DAMN good reason that Vernace slapped Al, much, much, moreso than just demanding a kick from an associate. IF it happened at all.
So in my estimation most of what we know about Alphonse Trucchio is most likely bullshit.

yeah none of it makes sense at all. but then again these guys arent the most reasonable people themselves, i guess. maybe he was a real asshole and all of this shit really happened, and it was pressed into a bigger issue so other people could capitalize off the situation. which is shady but thats the name of the game these guys play.
its just weird from the outside looking in , that the guy goes from being a rising star, to getting abused and broken down, especially after he takes a sentence of what..10, maybe 12, more? years in prison.
i didnt know anything about the Bonanno guy Ronnie G until he got indicted last year, but its crazy to think how similarly his crew mirrored Trucchio's crew. same general age range, both massive in numbers and money, all very active, and in the same damn neighborhood (and we never read anything about these guys stepping on eachothers toes either). 25 years ago that situation would be common, but in this day and age when it seems like things have generally calmed down, its crazy to think how active certain pockets of nyc still is

Re: Alphonse Trucchio
I guess I did? On here and the other place atleast.. it's weird how I thought it was taken as fact that trucchio did indeed get knocked down.. then when someone tries to give what they believe to be the real truth of why everyone believes I forgot to take my psych meds and decided to make it up because it sounded good..
I heard about the story I told quite a while before I ever mentioned it.. and before I posted it I made small talk with people I deem credible and by 2 different people all I did was mention roc or trucchio.. nothing about Vernace or any altercation just about either of them separately around that time and the first responses I got from the 2 other people (besides the person who told me) were of similar stories.
And the quiet doms son debate will never end. I've never waivered for a second that vinny killed him. Or gave the order but he was grimey enough I think he probably did it himself. I'm sorry but I don't see vinny taking someone comingbat his sons lightly. Remember what he did to santoro for talking about kidnapping one of his kids? )2 put like 5 shotgun slugs into him.

Trucchio sounds like a real hot head, maybe the 10 years in prison and demotion will calm him down. I remember PB saying he got into several beefs, including one with Tore LoCascio that was serious.chubby wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 11:56 amI dunno... might be just me but I think it would take a lot more than a captain asking an associate in his crew to kick up to get a captain slapped by a high ranking older guy in the fam and knocked down..SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 10:52 am Al ‘extorting’ Roc’s brother.
