I wouldn't say it's definitely Outfit related. Those Outfit connections mentioned in the article are very loose. What we can be certain of is that some sort of bank fraud went on and the banker's death looks suspicious.

60 Million in uncollected debts, you gotta ask who else was "Loaned" money by this bank. Especially a community Bank in Bridgeport. No proof of Outfit involvement, that's for sure, but if be surprised if it weren't.

There is a lot going on there. Fraud for sure. Death isn't as suspicious as it seems at first glance. That's not the most unusual way to kill yourself. Robin Williams killed himself in a similar fashion.

Two things stick out.

1. John Gembara was hiding out. You usually don't hide out to commit suicide, but maybe I'm wrong.
2. His friend whose house he was hiding in, was in a very precarious financial position and it would be easy to leverage him to gain access to his home and keep him quiet, potentially.

Not too many yuppies in East Bridgeport/Armour Square, between Halsted and Wentworth, and 26th and 35th. Thats the Italian area, as well as Chinese more recently.

The worst thing about Chicago is not the weather. The worst thing about Chicago, according to Crime Statistics, is *******es shooting other *******es and occasionally innocent people get caught in the crossfire. That's the worst thing In Chicago, not the weather which is cold in many places across the Country.

The crime is exaggerated to a degree, the violence is mainly in a few neighborhoods that most people would never enter. The per capita murder rate is much lower than cities like Baltimore, St Louis, Detroit, and NOLA.

Yes, You're probably right. There were 4,000 shootings last year in Chicago and 80% were ****### against ****###. However, smart white people probably don't go near those areas including the Police. Their attitude probably is to let them kill each other because every time they tried to interfere, they were falsely accused of something. I think Black Lives Matter should patrol those areas.
