American Gangster, w/Denzel Wash as Frank Lucas, used Pate's exploits in the movie.
Of course the filmmaker used 'poetic license' and changed the scenario. The movie
portrays the NYPD cops stealing it themselves. IIRC

My understanding is that Gotti was the intended target, but I was reading through this article (link below, I took it with a grain of salt) it makes it seem as if DeCicco was the intended target of the bombing...???

It was both right? Think Chin's involvement makes people assume it was better thought out than it actually was.
