I've read everything I could, but law enforcement, investigative reporters and FBI Reports aren't the only places to get some info, you gotta get to the street a bit. There are two sides to every story. Over on GBB, a guy with the moniker JoeRusso claims that the Patriarca's are getting stronger...which I don't buy at all, but he definitely has some other knowledge. IRA is our Boston guy here, solid info. They are certainly not dead like everybody claims including myself a while back, but they were a bit deeper in membership than people thought and have solid depth at the key positions. Will they ever be how they were when Ray Sr was in charge? No, but no family across the country are as strong as they were when guys like Gambino, Chin, Salerno, Bruno, Accardo and Corallo...we live in a different time. They lost a lot of key guys and have probably laid low a bit until the dust settled, but there is still some things going on...and some of the key people have scaled down a bit to stay under the radar, which is the smart move. Some guys got out, some are getting out. It'll be interesting to watch what happens. I think Cheese may be the boss at some point in the future when a few of the well respected aging members pass on. You just hope he doesn't make his brother UB or Consigliere. They are one of the more intriguing families, but they need to get Providence back in shape, they're in trouble down there. Lost all they're key guys. Matty is off restrictions, be interesting to see what happens down there.
This is all Ill say in this thread. Your not gonna know about Anthony until he a bust goes down and it comes out what he is, you guys can speculate all you want about who's made and who's not, but just cause you haven't heard or read it in FBI reports or any other type of LE or informant document doesn't mean anything. They don't always know and you guys can believe that all you want, but it means nothing that it hasn't been proven. And Joe Russo pumps shit up on BB cause it's obvious they aren't getting stronger, but some of what he says is good and he goes real far in what he talks about. I don't know the guy personally and had arguments over shit with him like in the past, but he knows some.
And this is some guy on BB who posted , I haven't commented on there about Boston in a long time on BB and I'm done on here, but I look to see what people say about around here and I agree with some of this

JoeRusso is a straight shooter. The North End is not a big place . Neither is East Boston or Revere. If you grow up in the middle of everything and your friends and relatives live the life and you still to this day cavort with these same people you grew up with , went to school with, you just know. We're not talking New York or Chicago here it's Boston. Plus any information YOU have from reading is after the fact . Joe is in the now. Seriously though the guys today couldn't shine the shoes of the guys from back in the 50's ,60's and 70's. Once coke made it's presence in the cowboy 80's it was all downhill from there. With Massachusetts and other surrounding states clamping down BIGTIME on opioids it's "smack" time again. More rats are born with every pinch.
