in Pitt, but the game seems to be the same. Just like the joker poker
machines in Philly are still big biz, the Pitt area is also lucrative. Are you aware
of any made LaRocca members still alive and active? Perhaps they oversee or
get tribute from this. Here it ATL, there are video poker machines in all the
privately (Paki/Indian) owned gas stations. I am on good terms with one owner
and when I asked him who controls his machines he got REAL mumbly! Someone
is making $ on them. Never hear of arrests down here on them. Thanks JCB.

Thomas “Sonny” Ciancutti, Capo, is still alive...but his last major bust was around 2000-2002 for running a $500k per week sports betting ring. Many associates are still alive and they operate independently. Anthony Murgie, Frank Unis Jr, Bobby Iannelli (his son Rodney took over his action and was busted a few years ago in Operation Pork Chop), Youngstown Boss Lenny Strollo is still alive (he flipped), Lawrence Garono (he flipped), Lawrence Amodie and Mike Gulino to name a few. There has been no structure since 2006 but most of it fell apart after the Ciancutti bust back in 2000.

The Western PA Poker Machine Baron was John "Duffy" Conley...who got all of his machines from Pat Ferruccio...but it is a good question on where the machines came from...Conley has done 3 prison sentences over the machines and has been under the radar for a while now...

I spoke to a friend of mine who is a cop in New Kensington, PA where Sonny resides. Sonny is in his mid 80's and spends his time at the Rivers Casino betting the ponies but has recently been battling some health problems...and I was told he's going downhill fast. Won't be long before his obit is in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette who always does comprehensive articles when mobsters die.
