He's referring to the fight some Gambino, Colombo, and Bonanno guys got into with guys affiliated with the old Rudaj group in Danbury. The Albanians beat up can older non-Italian prisoner who was friends with the mob guys while he was in his cell. The Italians, including Michael Yannotti, Michael Roccaforte, Neil Lombardo, Vito Guzzo, and Robert Lino retaliated by giving a beating to the Albanians as well as Lenny Colotti (the former Gambino associate who helped found the Rudaj organization with Alex Rudaj.)

The Gambinos would made the end of the Colombos with a boss in jail that pretend to rule the family from prison thru his family; for example after Peter Gotti went in prison in 2003 the street boss would become one of the John's brothers son like Richard G. Gotti and so on.

Rizzuto was in Florence too. Basciano from what minimal info we could get, seemed a model prisoner and was rewarded with the move to beautiful Inez, KY and Big Sandy.

Yes apparently Vinny was very well behaved. There are some interesting articles about how he coped in prison by the Daily News and stuff. Seems like a very strong-willed, brave person.

Good question..i never asked him....but he was off the camp from 8/9am til 5/6-7ish pm....when weather permitted.....got his weekend passes every time while I was there for.my 3 months til I got shipped.....JUST TO CLARIFY.....he had been down for a while til he got those privileges....under the old law (pre90s) NC
