Then what is Cataudella's role? Is he NOT the underboss? If DeLaurentis is the Top Boss and Cataudella is the underboss, why would Vena be above both of them??

In many cases in the past the boss of the outfit kept his old crew no reason to think that wouldn't be the case here. Although its entirely possible vena has someone that is basically the acting capo of grand who he gives orders through like spina since he has been trying to limit his exposure. vena even put his house on the market in far west suburban Elgin which is interesting he could be getting too much heat even somewhere an hour from the city

Are you guys sure Eboli was not part of the Grand Avenue Crew? Antiliar said that Eboli belonged to Auippa directly and was placed as the acting Boss of Grand Avenue by Auippa. However, in the Family Secrets book by Jeff Coen, he specifically says that Eboli was part of the Grand Avenue Crew and has a taped conversation between Lombardo and Eboli. That's probably WHY Eboli took over the Crew BEFORE Cozzo.

Almost everything I heard about Eboli was grand Ave. as you stated he worked closely with the clown, took over the crew when the clown went to jail. Plus in wemettes book and frank cullottas book they mention him as being around grand Ave crew and these are stories they are talking about from back in the 70's

Eboli was definitely direct with Aiuppa before becoming boss of Grand Avenue. He was obviously subordinate to Joey because he was a boss (as evidenced by the wiretaps) but Eboli wasn't directly under him before Aiuppa put him in charge. This is from the info I have available to me, at least.

Also, Eboli was active in MP for much of his Outfit career. Most definitely Aiuppa's territory.
