Reputed Mafia boss Joseph “Skinny Joey” Merlino has survived more than 25 attempts on his life and been cleared of the most serious charges — three murder raps — leveled against him over the years.

When the flamboyant Philadelphia native, who now lives in Boca Raton, goes on trial next month, he hopes to beat the feds as they try to put him back in prison for much of the rest of his life.

There is no record of him owning businesses other then that restaurant he just had . I don't believe it was even in his name . How can he get away with living the way he does without claiming taxes. The attorneys he used and still uses must be very expensive along with his vehicles and life in Florida must cost . The internal revenue service must not be doing there job .

I dunno sounds like they got enough to convict him at least on gambling charges . It going to come down to if the jury cares that Rubio had control of the tapes and wasn’t handled correctly by fbi protocol
