Who are more powerful Patriarcas or Philly ?
Both of them have 40-50 made men and huge territories but apart loansharking, bookie and drug trafficking who of them still had power in unions ? The Patriarcas had some controll on Boston port ?
Re: Who are more powerful Patriarcas or Philly ?
From what the educated people in the forum say, the Patriarcas are next to dead. No real structure left. The Philly fam, on the other hand, is still functioning as a Mafia family.

Unions havent been ran by Philly since Scarfo, I believe.
Philly for the most part I believe runs gambling and drugs. probably some extortion. loans. and i think thats the bulk with gambling being up top.
For some reason I feel Boston has been tied with unions... im not sure about recently tho.
last we knew three players just got out i thought? and according to the other thread few there think they dont really work together anymore.

Re: Who are more powerful Patriarcas or Philly ?
anyone got a opnion on about same question but in the 1960s? Patriarca vs Bruno? it's almost impossible to really answer but can anyone list the TOP rackets for both fams?
Patriarca: Union control as well as a much bigger territory. as well as was part of the commision at times i believe? as well as he represents himself rather then Bruno who was repped by Gambino.
Charleston had the most bank robberies then anywhere else in the country.Patriarca ran Charlston Im assuming

also to add to the patriarca vs bruno
patriarca had interests in 2 LV casinos which brought then a lot of money. Bruno didnt have much dealings with AC that was more of the Scarfo guys. and the AC take wasnt like the LV operation.

In the 2000s, I would have said New England was probably in better shape. They seemed more active and certainly more diversified. The Providence faction had some involvement in the Laborers Union. Philadelphia was down to a dozen active members on the street at one point in the early 2000s.
Now I would say Philadelphia is in better shape if only because they seem to have a more consistent recruiting pool. And several of their guys have gotten out of prison in recent years. New England still has some semblance of a hierarchy but they don't really have much of a presence in Connecticut and the Providence faction only has a handful of older members left. Philadelphia has about 50 total members left while New England is closer to 30.
All that said, I wouldn't refer to either family as "powerful" at this point.

Like Jeremy said, they don't appear to be working together anymore, according to the other threads.TommyGambino wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2017 5:12 amWho said that? Sounds way off, they are definitely still a viable family
